bibbidi bobbidi no longer taking adults

    Hi all,

This may have been posted somewhere else that I missed, but when I was looking for booking a princess makeover at BBB I saw only posts by adults who were able to go to BBB to get their hair done/etc. This is no longer allowed, the CM I spoke to today said they only allow kids 3-12 now. allears.net still says ages 3 and up which was the old policy.

It's disappointing not to be able to get the makeover with the little ones! I thought it would be a fun mommy/daughter thing!

BBB is ages 3-12, but Studio Disney 365 accepts all ages. You could do a mommy/daughter makeover there...

I know it's not the same, and I'm surprised by the policy change. When BBB opened they accepted all ages. I'm not sure when they changed it, but I know the Disney Cruise Line has the same rules.

ACK! Now I can't decide!!! decision paralysis. I thought studio 365 was going to be all punk and would look bad with a cute dress heading to Ariel's Grotto. But From the top and that's a wrap are actually pretty cute styles. I think the girls (and I) could wear them to the princess lunch and not really be out of place...maybe?? But the princesses are thing for the 5 year old. But the rocking styles would be fun for the 7 year old.

    ACK! paralysis.

Is this possibly due to the ban on having "adult costumes" inside the parks? I know [assume] adults only got hair/makeup but imagine the PR nightmare if WDW's "tinkerbell teen" had the hair/makeup done at WDW instead of at home and then put on the rest of the costume in a bathroom - only to be kicked out.

Studio 365 being outside the park gives them a bit more control as to what to allow adults/teens to look like inside the parks.

She wouldn't have been kicked out....just required to change if she wanted to stay.

You're probably right currence. They don't want people confused. That said, it's still really stupid because there is nothing keeping me from doing my own face/hair princess style if I want to, it's all about the costume and they don't sell or allow adult costumes anyway. The makeovers in studio 365 look nothing like the princesses or any other disney dressed up character.

All of this talk about adults in costumes means I'm going to have to go on a star wars weekend sometime in my Leia costume.
