Nice article - Epcot is great and offers an opportunity to sample English culture, as well as that of many other countries, but there's nothing like a trip to see it first-hand. You're also right that the Disney tie-ins may make it a much more interesting trip for children that love Disney.
As an adult, I'd enjoy everything you mentioned, but I'd also be looking to see if Chevy Chase ever made it out of that traffic circle, or if he was still telling his family - "Hey look kids - Big Ben, Parliament" (A "European Vacation" reference, in case anyone out there that has never seen that movie!)
