I WONDERED how you were going to do sign ins without breakfast. Tricky Tricky!!!
I think we'll probably still take a taxi, just because otherwise we're going to have to do 2 types of transportation in the morning (bus and then monorail/ferry) and that just seems like asking for trouble!
Anyone know where you can get a taxi at Caribbean Beach? Old Porte Royale or do you have to go to the Custom House?

As I was discussing the start time/transportation with my sister last night - we came up with (what we think) was an inspired plan. We're going to take a taxi to the Polynesian and have breakfast at Kona Cafe. No Tonga Toast this visit, but we figured some French Press Kona Coffee will give us a kick start for the event. We actually had a couple of choices of times around 8 am -- so they weren't totally booked up for the early times! From there, it's a simple walk to the TTC, so no need to worry about transportation issues after we get to the Poly!
It would be fun to see some other teams there fueling up for the day!

We debated between Kona Cafe and The Wave, and ended up choosing The Wave. We're renting a car for this short weekend trip, and as we are DVC members we will be able to park at Contemporary, eat breakfast and then take the monorail to TTC.

Didn't even think about The Wave -- at least you can take the monorail from there, since it's going the right direction!

For those of you thinking about taking a taxi because you don't want to take the ferry/monorail from TTC, you only have to go to TTC if you park in the parking lot! If you park and take a bus from one of the disney hotels, it takes you right to the front!! In fact, Im not sure, but I think if you take a taxi, they drop you off at TTC and then you have to take the ferry or monorail! Just make sure you check when the busses start running and get there early, as there may be a lot of people trying to go to MK early!
But! For those of you planning on breakfast at Poly, Contemporary, or Grand Floridian (Great Idea!!), the resort monorail goes straight to the park from there!! Just make sure to call and make sure of the times since we are starting earlier than park open!
Team Jusssst A Dinosaur is all signed up and ready to go and we are so excited to be back this year!!

Hey everyone, rookie question: Where can I find a copy of the official rules?? I know most of them, but I want to brush up and make sure we are squared away for next week!!

But the meeting place is NOT at the parks - it's at the TTC. So from the Poly, we can just walk to the TTC.
You can take a taxi or drive yourself directly to the TTC
or
walk from the Poly
or
Monorail from the GF or Contemp (or Poly, but easier and less stressful to walk, because you'd have to go ALL THE WAY around the loop)
or
bus from a resort to the MK and then monorail or ferry to the TTC
((Or do I have that totally backwards??))

I just looked for them on the MouseAdventure page and didn't see them. Or were they in the last email?

Well, the last one is correct, I think. Or, it had better be correct, because I just told my team that's likely what we're doing (hotel to MK, MK to TTC either by monorail or ferry).
This seems like my usual pre-MA quest: figure out where to meet up everyone else.
- Spring MouseAdventures: Decades advanced: our goal? to finish. mission accomplished!
- december 09 reindeer games: 26th place, & drenched all the way through!
- spring 09 mouse adventure (train, trams, and monorails): advanced division, with a newbie! the dominoes and the jigsaw puzzle nearly killed us!
- fall 08 mouse adventures: third place in the 101 division!

Oh!! Is the meeting place TTC?!? Oh man, Im glad I saw that... has there been a newsletter already for this MA? We joined a little late (probably the last team in, in fact!) haha, so we may have missed some stuff!!
If there is a newsletter, can someone email it to me?!! Ill give you my email in a PM, since Im not sure if its allowed (or wise) to post it on a public forum!

Rules:
- Each Explorer must wear the appropriate Troop Numbers as indicated at all times during the game.
- If an Explorer must drop out during the game, return to MouseAdventure Central for instructions.
- Troops will be required to ride attractions and enter queues. If you enter a queue, you must ride the attraction and/or stay for the entire performance, as applicable – you cannot skip out the exit. Explorers may not enter any attraction through the exit unless using a designated accessible entrance. If you must ride an attraction, Explorers who are unwilling or unable to ride that attraction must wait at the attraction’s exit, however, you may not leave any game materials with that Explorer.
- Hints will only be provided up to the 30 minutes before the end of the game.
- Unless otherwise directed, Troops must stay together at all times throughout the event. Your Troop is only as fast as your slowest member. If your slowest member cannot keep up with the rest of the Troop, you are considered separated. All Explorers should be within a few feet of each other. You may not send one member of your Troop to research something in another area, or leave one member to “rest” while the others complete a quest.
Exceptions:
- Restroom breaks (the rest of the Troop must remain nearby).
- If a quest calls for you to ride an attraction and one or more Explorers are unwilling or unable to ride that attraction, your Troop should leave those Explorer(s) at the exit of the attraction before entering the queue. You may not leave any game materials with non-riding Explorers while you wait in line, and non-riding members must remain at the attraction exit until the rest of the Troop returns.
- Some quests may specifically instruct your Troop to split up. If this is the case, your Troop may only separate while working on that quest, and only in the land(s) or area(s) specified.
Prohibited behaviors
- Running. Your Troop is only as fast as your slowest member. If your slowest member cannot keep up with the rest of the team, you are considered separated. You should also not try to move faster than the local conditions allow; forcing your way through crowded areas will also result in penalties.
- Line-cutting, pushing, shoving, or other rudeness. Play it safe since this is essentially a subjective call.
- Any kind of overt cheating. Examples would be looking at another Troop’s materials, or asking people not on your Troop for assistance.
- Using reference materials other than the provided park map and brochure. Unless the quest indicates otherwise, the use of any other reference materials is strictly prohibited (this includes any materials you may bring with yourself, as well as books available in various stores).
- Asking Cast Members for assistance. Troops found getting CM assistance receive no credit for that quest, even if the Cast Members initiate the assistance. Be polite in telling them you need to do it yourself.
- Using electronic equipment to aid in event completion (including FRS radios, ham radios, GPS, cell phones, digital cameras, audio recorders, camcorders, pagers, laptops, PDAs, and so on). If you need to check messages during the event, return to MouseAdventure Central or a MouseAdventure
Station to check in with the MouseAdventure crew members there before you do it to avoid penalties.

For those teams that have signed up since the last player newsletter went out for this game, we've set up an event information page that has all of that information plus some general MouseAdventure rules.
