So, why did my thread about "Entitled Californian Pleading his case" get moved?
Dear Moderator
So, why did my thread about "Entitled Californian Pleading his case" get moved, and if it was being moved, why did you move it to be the tail end of the posting from another person asking why all Californians feel entitled? Not to be fussy here, but I would rather my post stand on it's own merit....

Shenanigans, indeed! I specifically made it a separate post rather than keep replying on the other post, especially since there were cautions about inappropriate attacks etc... I wanted it to be my own words, and not interpreted as an "attack" on another person....

Because it fit under the thread of Californians and entitlements. Just the mods doing a bit of tidying up. Don't take it personally....unless you feel you're ENTITLED to your own thread as well as to Disneyland!

well, I feel I'm as entitled to my own thread as much as the person was entitled to their own thread about why Californians feel so entitled.... especially since a moderator had already posted this following on that existing thread:
"OK folks, let's stop discussing other members please. All of these comments about the OP are out of line.
Community policies: Discuss the message, not the messenger
We do not allow name-calling, ad hominem attacks or personal insults on MousePad. If you disagree with a poster, you may debate the points in the discussion, but you may not turn your argument into a discussion of the poster themselves.

I was trying to express my views without it being taken as a potential slam on another poster.

I did start off with "Dear Moderator" since I don't know who actually moved it.

I'm sure she meant privately. There's a "report this post" message at the bottom of every single post in a thread that you can use to contact the moderators, or you can PM one.
I wasn't the person who merged the thread, but I would have done the same. You may want your post to stand alone and have its own thread, but since you're clearly responding to an ongoing discussion, it makes the most sense to just continue the conversation in the same place.
Regarding the question further upthread regarding personal attacks, and discussing members, there were several clear instances in the original thread of people discussing the original poster instead of his post. That's what prompted the warning.
Your reply was a response to the OP, but not a response ABOUT the OP. See the difference?
And frankly, the whole thread is about to be moved to the Lounge because it really has nothing at all to do with Disneyland trip planning.
AVP
