    Disney Dollars- expiration?

Do Disney Dollars expire? A relative gave my daughter one left over from a trip she took in 1990...

    I don't think they do.

Unless they say that they say that they expire, they should be good.

Nope, they don't expire. I have a couple of them as souvenirs from when they first came out, but they're still usable as cash.

Keep in mind that some people collect Disney dollars, especially the older ones. You can get new Disney dollars at the Concierge desk at the resorts as well. (Got some last year as Tinkerbell stood in for the tooth fairy when someone lost a tooth. )

This is right. They don't come with an expiration date. Disney could decided in the future to stop issuing them and no longer honor them as payment. Their have been rumors that this will happen but over the years all have been proven wrong as we can still get them and use them.

Interesting. I've never heard those rumours, and I can't see Disney ever doing that. Last I heard, they're still giving credit to people for having the old A-E tickets and other admission media.

I didn't know that - I thought you couldn't get them anymore. Maybe it's just that you can't get them at Disney Stores??? hmm, maybe I will get a few next time now that I know differently.

Yep, you can only get them in the resort/parks now.

Yep, and the cool part is that each denomination has a different character. They are very good looking bills almost too cool looking to spend.

That's one of the main reasons that Disney kept doing this. Lots of these Disney Dollars in all denominations end up in someone's drawer at home and not cashed in for merch or food. Disney doesn't mind, as they get their money either way!

I've got a full sheet of uncut bills I received as a gift about 15 years ago.
