Meal plan with conference rate??
My daughter is attending the Disney summer institute via Blue Ribbon Schools. We have purchased a room for 4 nights (Yatch Club) and 5 days worth of tickets. Before I call Disney and ask I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to add a meal plan even though we did not purchase a "package"? If so, does anyone know the per day cost for the standard dining (not quick serve)?
Thanks.

I think it'll be $53.54 per night per adult or junior (ages 10-17), $16.02 per night for children (ages 3-9). (those are the summer rates for this year)
I know Annual Passholders can 'make' a package that doesn't include admission media, so you might see if they can make an exception for you to do an 'AP package' at the rate you got the room.
Did you already purchase the admission media? If not, that might give you a little flexibility with Disney when you call.

The conference discounts usually negate the ability to get the dining plan. This is from a number of reports on other sites.

A Package with dining normally requires a room rate available to the general public, as well as ticket purchases. If the room is booked with a special rate for the conference it will normally not be eligible for dining. Similarly, if the tickets are special discounted group tickets dining plan will not be available.
