Went for our usual Friday Night Dinner. LaBrea Bakery Express is now open. Still have some odds and ends to finish up but for the most part the place had a good turn out of customers.
The other side has new tables and chairs which are much more comfortable than the old. Considering opening day things were organized.
Some people did not understand that if you order from the Express side you cannot sit on the dining side. Two ladies came in, sat down and placed their number on the table. The waiter politely explained to them the situation and they laughed and moved to the express side dining.
We did not eat at LaBrea Bakery Express. We always go down for dinner on Friday nights and ate at the Restaurant side. The Express was packed. In the past we have tried the Express and the food was always good but the "Express" part was always questionable. I hope with the new additions and remodel that it will truly be an "Express".
So how was the food on the restaurant side?? Disney Parks Blog had mentioned some changes and additions to the old menu.
Food is always good. Yes they took things off the menu and added new items months ago. They have a cobb salad that I have not tried yet but wish they would bring back the asian chicken salad. We eat there every Friday Night and have not had a bad meal yet and service is always great. I love the chicken enchilada soup and the burger is good. My husband has the spicy chicken sandwich or panini club. The pasta with sausage is good also.
Just missed their re-opening by a few days! Oh well...I always loved the cheese panini sandwiches so I hope they still have them on our next visit!
