Richard Petty Driving Experience
My family will be in Disney from June 10-17. I am planning a Richard Petty Driving experience for my dad as an early Father's Day gift, and I have a question. Is there any transportation to the speedway offered by Disney (we are staying at All-Star Movies), or will I have to get him a cab? Thanks!!!

I'm almost certain you need to get a cab.

I'm pretty sure as well. It shouldn't be too expensive, though.
What you can do is either ask when you reserve the Richard Petty Experience -- or if you forget/they don't have an answer, you can ask at the concierge desk at All Star Movies if there's an option. They'll also be able to let you know if you need to pre-reserve a cab (and should be able to do that for you if needed) or to let you know where/how to get a cab that morning. (I don't remember the entry area of the All Stars to be able to guesstimate where it would be.)
And what a great Father's Day gift! I'm sure he'll enjoy it!!!

Thanks guys. That's what I figured, but I thought I'd at least ask. I'm pretty excited to surprise him with it. Being from the Midwest, we love us some circle driving!!

I have a drive scheduled with the Exotics Driving Experience which is also based at the WDW Speedway. According to their website, there is a shuttle that runs to and from the track every 15 minutes, leaving from the pet kennels at the Ticket & Transportation Center.

Yes! Thank you. I actually emailed Disney and got a response yesterday. The only draw back is that it can take up to an hour and a half to get there, so a cab may almost be worth the minimal cost.

It shouldn't take an hour and a half to get from All Stars to the TTC (take a bus to MK, then monorail to TTC) - but you generally want to PLAN for that length of time if you just miss a bus/there's a long line/the monorail is misbehaving/whatever. So I agree, the minimal cost of the taxi for the peace of mind and time would be worth it to me. Don't want to get your Dad's blood pressure/pulse up from frustration of travel delays before he gets to the racetrack!
