Hoop Dee Doo in November?

We'll be staying at the Grand Floridian in November to celebrate my daughter and her cousin's 16th birthdays. One of the things we want to do, is to go to the Hoop De Doo. We are within the booking window now but we can't get a reservation at the Hoop Dee Doo. When I called Disney, they said that at the moment, it hasn't opened yet for October or November. Does anyone have any insight as to what might be going on?

I seem to remember this happening last year too. I think it was due to a change in their schedule (they moved the times up an hour). I'm not sure if it was a permanent or seasonal change.

Thanks. When I called today (again) to see if it was available I was told that "originally" it was planned to be closed for refurbishment from August until December 31st. Then that announcement was rescinded. Now they are just waiting to see when (if) it will open for the Fall. I was told to call back a few times a week.

The WDW Update today said that the refurb had been moved back to October 1st - and had this in the refurb calendar:

Fort Wilderness Campground & Resort Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue – closed for refurbishment October 1 through December 31.

Doesn't look good for a November meal, sorry.

The WDW Update today had this item:

…The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue has now opened reservations for October through December. However, they have made modifications based upon an apparently successful test from earlier this year, and seating times are now an hour earlier. This should help with the difficulty in filling the former 9:30 show. New seating times are now 4:00, 6:15, and 8:30 p.m.

Not sure how this goes with the 'closed for refurbishment' still listed - but to the OP --- I'd definitely try now!
