WHERE ARE THE BOOTSTRAPPERS??? AND more MUSIC ??
I just watched the Video of ALICE DAVIS .....what a great show and tribute. Lovelovelovelove the live music and the bands and now that the MINER 49ers are gone I am digging the BOOT STRAPPERS. I saw them on the video but they are not listed on the web site. I will be in DLR on MONDAY the 21 and 22 and wanted to see them. Any news???
Oh and do you need to eat at BT Ranch to listen to the music
What about Billy Hill playing with Farley the Fiddler between shows on Monday? Is that scheduled or is it sort of magical when it happens?

The Bootsrappers are one of the many music groups that aren't listed on the website or weekly entertainment schedules. Yoiu can often find them in NOS, outside Cafe Orleans. Monday is usually a 'dark' day for the performers, so I would ask at City Hall if any groups are out that day.

That is so strange that they are not on the entertainment calendar! But thanks for the info. I will try and catch them on Tuesday then. I know that the Dapper Dans are dark on Monday and Tuesday. Bummer for me! That's why I am jonesing for another group.

If you look on the entertainment schedule and see Farley on the list around 11ish but no show for the Billys until 12 ish (usually about 12:30) then you can expect to find the Billys playing with Farley right at the corner of Frontierland/Adventureland walk thru, on the boardwalk. We found them by accident once, then another time so I double checked our schedule to find that was the common factor, next trip I saw that same schedule and so we went, not that Farley isn't pretty awesome on his own but having the Billys out of the GH and up close and personal is a lot of fun. I have an awesome photo of my daughter, another Heart and her sons all with the Billys on the porch!

Thanks Mamma Silva for the tip. I would love to catch them and get a few snaps with Farley the Fiddler!
I arrive at the aero-port (John Wayne) at 10:42 though and don't know if I will get to the park at 11:30 to see that show. It would be cutting it mighty close.
I still think it is weird that they don't have the BootStrappers on the schedule.

The husband mentioned today that he saw a group singing in Downtown Disney, on the stage by Rainforest. He said they were called The Perfect Gentlemen, and they were made up of some of the former Dapper Dans (and one still-current Dapper Dan). I'm definitely going to try to catch them sometime. He said they sing barbershop quartet style with one musical instrument.
Now different is nice, but it sure isn't pretty, pretty is what it's about
I never met anyone who was different who couldn't figure that out
But beautiful, I'd never live to see
But it was clear, if not to her, well, then to me.
blah blah blah blah

Yes, this. They were there outside today. I was surprised to see them and nearly as pleasantly surprised with their song selection:
- Credence's Have You Ever Seen the Rain?
- Nancy Sinatra's These Boots are Made for Walkin
- Beatles Ticket to Ride
- Clapton's Lay Down Sally
They sang a couple other recognizable covers. Was cool, put the Billy Hills in a whole new light.
Your attention, please. The Disneyland Limited now leaving for a grand circle tour of the Magic Kingdom. Aboaaard!

There are often items that aren't on the official 'public' entertainment calendar that are on the small sheet of paper just about every cast member carries. I know the flag retreat used to be one of those things, but I think they've bumped it up to the public schedule.
Just as a CM (custodial staff are usually a good bet) about any special entertainment you're interested in.
This is also the sheet that contains hours for all the things that aren't operated for full park hours, like some of the shops and restaurants that close early/open late.

That sounds awesome. My nephew will be so excited. He sang with them a couple times before they got the new ones. Do the CMs have the schedule for DD entertainment too?

I already checked their schedule, looks like the Mother Day's show was a one time gig. Nothing else in DtD for the rest of the year. Which is too bad. http://theperfectgentlemen.us

AHA!
That corroborratttes (sp?) what Mamma Silva said Midway Maniac! I will have to HIGH TAIL it straight to Frontierland if I be wanting that photo opportunity. I can smell my photo album nearing completion. That would be such a hoot to get a pic of the Billy's. I always am too busy clapping to be too busy with the snapping. Fingers crossed.
