14 ADR's!
So I just finished messing with our ADR's. 14 meals and 17 credits, so I have to decide where we pay out of pocket. I just added on 1900 Park Fare for breakfast which is one of a handful of character meals we haven't done before. I've booked this for our fly home day and I'm really looking forward to the Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland!
I'm thinking the best way to pay for 3 credits is to pay for Cinderella's Royal Table (lunch), and probably Coral Reef where I will be happy to eat a salad appetiser and in think DD (10), will want to eat off the children's menu. I'm also planning on Beaches and Cream one day which will also be out of pocket, but I hate ice cream and the rest of Team Scooby are planning on a kitchen sink. Yuck.......
I am getting very excited now!

B&C is for sure an out of pocket meal. Where else are your ADR's?

I think you may be the first person I've ever known to hate ice cream. Is it a matter of being lactose intolerant? Isn't it funny how tastes can vary.
1999 - Coronado Springs (1 night); 2003 - DL's Paradise Pier (5 nights); 2005 - All Star Music (7 nights); 2007 - POP Century (10 nights); 2008 - DL's Paradise Pier (5 nights); 2009 - POP Century (10 nights); 2010 - Dolphin (2 nights); 2011 - POP Century (7 nights); June 8-18, 2012 - POFQ (10 nights); next trip,June 18-22, 2013 - POFQ (5 nights). If I'm not at Walt Disney World or Disneyland, I'm not really happy.

Up until this year my nephew has hated ice cream. He's 7. A couple of years ago we had DDs birthday party at our local ice cream parlor and he ordered a banana. Lol

Sadly we have to go in August due to my work and school schedules. We'll make the best of it though!

No intolerance I just hate the taste. I like the taste of plenty of other bad stuff though!

I love ice cream, I just don't think the ice cream served at WDW and DL is anything special.

Try a shake at Sci-Fi or a malt at Prime Time Cafe. Yummy!

scoobydooby, we are limited to the summer months as well-- due to school. however, i think there are some advantages like longer hours, more entertainment options, etc. i hope that you all have a wonderful time.
have you ever been to disneyland paris?
-

No. I have thought about it and probably will. But France is not my favourite place and actually it's very expensive. Also to do the ferry and drive which would be cheaper option takes as long for me as flying to Orlando!

If you are going in August, I would like to provide readers something of an advisory, which you may already know if you visited in August before.
That is, the heat has the potential of impacting your appetite to the point where by the 1/2 way point of your trip, you may get overfed. Just use your best judgement and listen to your body as to what to eat and how much to avoid getting sick from your dining experiences.

He was a super picky eater. The banana was probably the only thing he could order that he'd actually eat.

I will second this....of course I also made the mistake of booking a week of AYCE meals. It was cost effective with a 9 year old that hates kids foods and a 2 yr old that out eats his older sisters, but we were stuffed by Thursday. Next time I'd alternate more with "off the menu" places and AYCE places.

That is amazing that the ferry and drive take as long as the flight! I'm sure the park is very expensive. But, the photos i've seen look so beautiful! I totally understand your love of WDW. I've been going to Disneyland since my oldest ds was 1. We visited WDW last year for the first time. Boy, was I hooked.

I totally understand the picky eater thing. I have a ds who fits that category! I still think the banana was a great choice--and wtg for thinking outside of the box!

GusMan, I must be a weather wimp. I was feeling that in June! Great advice. Thanks.

4.5 hour drive to Dover. Hang around and queue. About 1.5 hour ferry ride to Calais. Queue to get off ferry. About 3 hour drive to Paris. With mad French drivers. Arrive. Stressed and swearing in French. Flight less than 2 hours I think but expensive. Eurostar fast and to the door but still have to get to London.
Orlando. Arrive Manchester airport the day before and enjoy a swish airport hotel on site. Get on the plane. Get bored for 9 hours watching 3 free films and getting fed three times. Do not swear at anyone in French or English. Then I am in WDW!
