I think that they are verifying your distance before they are allowing you to RSVP over the phone. I called was put on hold for a while and then was confirmed as RSVP'd. We're in the Inland Empire, so I would have to take a half a day off of work to go to the resort to RSVP in person.

Ugh, just tried by phone, and no dice. I live in San Diego, and apparently that's not far enough. My mom tried too (she lives near Pasadena) and was told no, but they told her that I would be able to (she had them check my zip code). What the hell, Disney?!?

My daughter lives in O.C. but works in L.A. from 9:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m....it's about 2 hours for her to get to Anaheim from there in traffic...she called after I sent her this info and she was told she could not RSVP on the phone.

I don't understand why Disney won't take pity on folks like that for whom an extra trip just to get to the ticket booth is a real challenge. She would ask to get off work early if she could go to the party. Maybe they're using the "apply for tickets in person" as a way to keep the numbers down and make sure they go out to people who really intend to attend, but it's frustrating some people who would love to go.

I just RSVPd in person. I asked the CM about RSVPing over the phone, he said they were just told by their lead that RSVPs over the phone were not to be allowed. So for those who have been able to RSVP over the phone, you were lucky! Any level of AP holder can RSVP, you don't have to have received the e-mail announcement. I also asked how many people have actually RSVPd and he said the numbers have been very low, but this is the first day they have been accepting RSVPs.

Wow, I'm glad I called when I did. We have a trip planned for 5/12-15 and I was able to RSVP for the 5/14 event by phone earlier this afternoon. We are a bit over 200 miles north so we wouldn't have been able to RSVP in person.

I'll be there on Sunday. So I have to go to the ticket booth to RSVP right? I hope they still have spots available!

Yes, you just go to regular ticket booth to RSVP. My friends are going to try to RSVP on Friday, I'll let you know if they're able to!

So obviously you have to RSVP way in advance of the event or chance not getting in?

I'm confused...some passholders are getting the invite and some aren't, but anybody can rsvp if they go to the resort before the events fill up? (BTW, I'm a premium too, and didn't get one.)

I am a premium AP holder and did not receive an invite email either. I live 33 miles from DLR

I asked the CM when I RSVPd if you needed the e-mail invite, he said no. The RSVP is open to any current AP holders, you just need to go to a ticket booth and ask to RSVP. The RSVP opportunity is only until 5/10 or the event fills up, whichever comes first.

Got my tickets at the ticket booth a couple of minutes ago.

Tried to RSVP over the phone, no luck. Juat picked up my voucher at a ticket booth.

I have a SoCal pass and didn't get an email, but walked up to a booth this morning and got signed up for the 14th.

Unhappy We're Premiun Annual Passholders and we haven't gotten an invite since Soundsational!

I'll check with my hubby, but so far, I haven't received an invite for this.

I'm not sure if we're interested in going or not, but if we decide to go, I guess we can stop in briefly to RSVP in person, when we're on our way up to the D23 Fanniversary Event at the Studios on Friday!

LOL, well I can RSVP in person at the gate before the deadline because our next trip is during that time. I can't however get to the actual event, because we will be back home in Idaho by the first event date. How ironic is that?

Another "ttthhhhbbbbbttttttt" for being one of the few Idaho Annual Passholders.

I understand why these events are during the week, yet I really wish they weren't so I could attend one. Just once.

I got the invite and I'm a local Premium pass holder. Just for anyone who was keeping track. I have to decide which day to go and find out if anyone is going with me but I might have extra slots.

It seems that people have been able to RSVP via phone if they live far enough away, or your friend could RSVP in person, if you really want to go. No invitation needed.

    Extra Tickets?

If anyone can reserve 2 extra spots you would really make my day I only have my print out to exchange for a premium pass and they won't take that over the phone :o( and I won't be getting to Anaheim (6hrs away) until the 10th and I doubt they will still have spots we wanted to go Monday the 14th. We will be there celebrating my first mother's day and the grandparents have offered to take the baby for the night. If you could help a girl out I would be very grateful

If you go the 14th I would totally love 2 spots

Ugh, I'm a Premium Passholder and have never received an invite to any of these events.

I'll have to ask DH if he wants to go to this one with me since the invite does not seem to matter. We can make the drive to DLR this weekend (or even tomorrow night) to RSVP if he wants to go. I hope there are more of these in the summer. I would love for the kids to attend but they can't miss school right now.

    Thankful

I was toying with the idea of driving down today to reserve a spot, but I was just there all day on Tuesday. Was there last Sunday, and will be there on Saturday. So I'm just going to take my chances and hope it doesn't fill up by the time I get to the ticket window on Saturday morning. It didn't seem worth the energy to go down AGAIN with a toddler in tow and energy draining baby in my tummy. Wish they would have emailed me on Tuesday!

For the record for those trying to figure out how the distribute emails, I did get one. I read on another site that they would be sending out emails to Deluxe Pass Holders next, then So Cal, then So Cal select, spacing each a few days apart. I have no idea if that is from a reputable source or not. It doesn't seem to matter much since anyone can go and make a ressie at this point though.
