Cinco De Mayo in the Disneyland Park

Looks like we will be in the Park on May 5th, and I was wondering if Disneyland does anything for this celebration or if the park will be overly crowded?

There may be something planned at Tortilla Jo's in DtD or at Rancho de Zocalo in DL. I don't think anything official has been announced at this time. Since Cinco de Mayo is on a Saturday this year, the parks may be moderately crowded (not too bad, since the lower 3 APs are blocked that day). Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip!

yeah - in the past nothing was done specifically. As stated by tea4two, there could be a menu item at Rancho and maybe some pins (a pin) but that's about it. They did their "fan events" earlier in the year to try and boost attendance a bit. Then again, you never know. They may do something - but for now nothing has been announced.

    ROFL!!! You're too funny.

I'll be there on the 6th. I'm thinking there won't be much of an extra crowd just because of Cinco De Mayo.

We will be there on May 5! But I think I'll stay clear of Mexican food in DR. That's one thing that's sub par about Disneyland, the Mexican food.

Awww, c'mon. I've had terrific meals at Rancho del Zocalo for years!

It may not be the most authentic Mexican food around, but Rancho del Zocalo has tasty food and is one of the best places for sharing meals at DL, thus making it one of the better bargains in the park.

    Ditto and Ditto!
"Although we think it's DOPEY that Pluto has been downgraded to a dwarf planet, which has made some people GRUMPY and others just SLEEPY, we are not BASHFUL in saying we would be HAPPY if Disney's Pluto would join us as an 8th dwarf. We think this is just what the DOC ordered and is nothing to SNEEZE at."
