100 years?

I just heard an ad for Disney on Ice and it said celebrating 100 years of magic. How is that possible?

If I recall correctly, I think it was in celebration of what would have marked Walt Disney's own 100th birthday (born December 5, 1901). But 100 years isn't too far off for the Disney parks, etc; the Disney company was founded in 1923 (89 years ago), their first full length animated movie, Snow White, was in 1937 (75 years ago), Disneyland opened in 1955 ( 57 years ago) and Disneyworld in 1971 (41 years ago)
