    PhotoPass Photographers

Does anyone have any insight to the photographers that are by the major photo op locations in DL/DCA - are they willing to do silly pictures and get creative?

    Any insight would be appreciated...

I have found that it really depends on the photographer assigned to the location, and the level of crowds. Most of the photographers are assigned to one location and they can't really leave that location, but they may be willing to be creative at their location if there aren't people waiting.

We got lucky once with the photographer in Fantasyland. We found her by the Carousel/Sword in the Stone. it wasn't a very busy day so we asked what other locations she could photograph and she led us to Monstro the Whale and I believe Mr. Toad's carriage. We had probably 10 minutes of one-on-one time with the photographer getting some really cute photos. We would never have asked and I doubt she would have agreed if there had been a line for her services.

I believe the photo people would rather be taking photos then standing around looking bored so if it is slow you can sometimes get extra attention. The usual rules apply: be someone they would want to spend extra time with. That is, be happy, fun, polite, and appreciative. And accept that if someone is about to go on break, they may not be able to spend extra time with you, even if they don't explicitly tell you the reason why.

I was looking at my pictures at the photo store when one of the photographers came in raving about a photo she had just taken. Some of the photographers love taking a good picture as much as we love obtaining them. If you can find one of those photographers on a good day, you could probably get some amazing shots.

We've had photographers who wanted us to be silly and tried their hardest to make us laugh. But, as Currence said, it depends on how crowded it is and how long the line is.

Not sure if he is still there or not but our favorite photographer is RP. He will take time to be creative as others have said if things are slow.

"Although we think it's DOPEY that Pluto has been downgraded to a dwarf planet, which has made some people GRUMPY and others just SLEEPY, we are not BASHFUL in saying we would be HAPPY if Disney's Pluto would join us as an 8th dwarf. We think this is just what the DOC ordered and is nothing to SNEEZE at."
