It would be amazing to sit in a float in the Jammin Jungle Parade. How do I make this happen?

We were asked to be Grand Marshals of the afternoon parade! I think it was mostly being at the right place at the right time.
My then 5 yr old asked a Cast Member on Main Street around 10 a.m. to pin trade. We visited for a bit and he asked me how many were in our group? I replied with 10 and he had a peculiar expression but I didn't think anything of it. We said our goodbyes and headed into the Emporium. When we came out, he was standing in Main Street alone so I went back up to him and told him I forgot to mention how much I liked his name, Brick. Very unusual and very cool! He threw his hands in the air, and asked me very excitedly, how many are in our immediate family? I said 4 at the moment. He said, "My boss, Mickey Mouse, asked me to find a family to be the Grand Marshals in today's parade. Would you be interested?" Needless to say, we were in the parade and were able to ask my parents since the trolley could carry six. The rest of our group were able to view the parade from the V.I.P. area.
It was one of the best days of my life! 4 years later and my family still talks about it and visits Brick each visit!

For the Animal Kingdom parade, I know at one point if you were near the bridge into Harambe (by the big gates) in the morning, that's when they did the selecting. I don't know if they're still doing it that way or not.
I'm not even sure who would be best to ask about that at this point in time. If you're going to be going to AK a couple of different days, on the first day, stop by guest relations and ask them. Or maybe in the store in Harambe or the person outside the safari directing people (even though they are in totally different groups from the entertainment group)
