Cast & Disney Experience:
Kati (35) My 5th trip
Ciara (29) 4th trip
Michele (35) 9th trip (since 2009. I dont count her previous trips)
Travel Dates:
March 23 (Friday) to March 27 (Tuesday)
Transportation:
Ciaras Dad will drop us off at JFK, early, our flight is at 7:30 am. Well fly Jet Blue to Florida. Stop at Starbucks in MCO. Then take the DME to Old Key West.
Resort:
Old Key West. First time for all of us.
How this trip came about:
You know that feeling you get when you come home from Disney and you dont have another trip planned? Well Michele was home about 2 weeks from a trip in September 2011, when the subject came up. We narrowed the dates down to March because we fear getting stuck in NY because of the snow (who knew we would have a mild winter). Michele had enough DVC points for 4 days but we thought it would be best to spend the extra $30 each to rent extra points so we could stay for 5 days at Old Key West. We booked the resort exactly 180 days out, exactly enough time to make Dining reservations.
We have spent 180 days compiling lists of things to do and this is what we have come up with.
Our Ride Must Do list. This started with a personal limit of 3 rides, then we combined to come up with 5 rides.

Friday
Drive to the airport slightly later than the crack of dawn.
Watch TV or read or sleep while we fly to Orlando, FL
Arrive in Orlando, FL; possible quick bite at Starbucks; Take the monorail to DME!!
DME to Old Key West!
Attempt Check in actually a possibility since we are arriving later
Check carry on bags with bell services
Go to MK and have lunch at Caseys
Do all the things that are usually closed during EMH.
Go back to room, freshen up for dinner
Dinner reservation @ La Hacienda in Mexico (8:00pm) Funny enough, this is the same as last year! Giant margaritas for everyone!

Epcot EMH if we can make it
Pass out in room
Saturday
Breakfast reservation with Mary and Alice at the G Flo 9:00am
Take the monorail to wherever no trip is complete without a ride on the monorail
Maybe the pool?
Maybe a park?
Who knows!?
I would like to consider adding in a hot air balloon ride here, at DD
Raglan Road for Dinner @ 6:15 and Irish Dancing (Michele: Kati, you will have to help us with this one. My response: My familys version of Irish dancing is really just the Cotton-eyed-Joe. Were singers, not dancers.) We could wear our dresses here too, not as much walking at DD, so pretty shoes would be okay.

Dim Sum Lunch at Yak & Yeti (Apps & Zerts). Mango Pie!!!
At this point I really want to try to see Nemo or The Lion King (I havent seen either)
Go back to room/pool/whatever
Freshen up for dinner
Wear our overalls
Dinner reservation @ 5:00pm at the Hoop Dee Do Review!!! Who will get to play the washboard???

MK EMH until 3am!!! (I will be wearing comfy shoes this time)
Dole whips, tiki room, and the Main Street Electrical Parade

Sleep in
What didnt we get to do? Maybe paddle boats at OKW to work off our meals? Maybe we will be hankering for more MK? Is Soarin calling us? Do they need us to pilot a trip to Mars? Maybe we want to visit the planet Hoth?

It will be fun to see if the trip happens the way weve planned it. We have decided to be a little more relaxed to prevent any melt downs. But as we get closer to this trip we keep adding things to the itinerary.
