    Flower Power Concerts Seating

I had a few questions regarding seating and set up for the Flower Power Concert Series at Epcot and was hoping someone had some answers. With the passing of Davy Jones, my husband the lifelong die hard Monkees fan, wants to go see Micky Dolenz who is replacing him. I have read some things here and there about the shows, but mostly it's "we stopped by and listened and then went and had a beer at Germany" or the horror stories of being 10th in line but 30th in after people showed up for "held" spaces etc. I am thinking these shows are going to be super popular. We'd like to do two of them at least. I thought we'd do the first show and then maybe go get back in line for the third show. My questions were:

    1. Are there any special tours/dining package/hiring a Plaid type things that will get us reserved seating for any of the shows? I don't think there is, but within reason, I could see doing something like that.

    2. What time would you suggest getting in line for the 5:15 show if we are hoping for better versus worse seats? I was thinking 3:30 ish. Is that early enough?

    3. Finally, does anyone have any other overall tips for seeing these shows? I know the theatre isn't huge and any seat is not a bad seat, but I know there is usually a better way to do things at WDW and people know them!

Thanks so much for any suggestions!

There is no reserved seating. As for when to get there, you are correct in that Mickey Dolenz will be popular this year. If you are really set on watching the show, 3:30 would be OK although there could be people there earlier than that. I usually won't advise people to line up that early but Dolenz will be extremely in demand because of the recent death of Davy Jones. Hopefully, the Cast Members will cut down on the line jumping.

There really are no bad seats, like you said. We usually like to sit in the second section next to a tree. People will flock to the front so you'll be jammed in there. And very few like to sit next to a tree, plus you will have one side of you where no one can sit.

The Food & Wine Festival has a meal with reserved seating for shows. Do they not do this at the F&GF?

No Dan, they don't have a meal and a show reservation for the Flower & Garden Festival. Maybe because the shows are only on the weekends? Or because the Food & Wine is all about, well, food?
