I was JUST talking to someone about this yesterday! My guess is it's opening since they plan to tie membership to the new club in DCA. Too bad it's not something I'd be able to afford!

I will be curious to hear from others how fast the waiting list moves. I suspect people who thought they had years to go may obtain an invite faster than expected. Now that the club's initiation fee has jumped to the price of a car and maintaining a Club 33 membership over a 10 year period will amount to at least 100K in today's dollars, it may certainly limit the circle of interested prospective new members. I think the challenge for anyone at any income level to consider when paying a $25K initiation fee is that they are buying into a club where they will have no serious input or control over future price increases and changes to member benefits. I think that is what jolted current members this year when prices went up and various long-term benefits were eliminated. Everyone who paid initiation fees in the past made a financial decision based on a package of benefits that have now been eliminated in one swoop. This year's major changes to Club 33 membership underline that anyone paying for a Platinum membership today should have no reasonable expectation that the current palette of benefits will be there in the future.

Hmm...I think they made a typo! Even Google agrees with us! If you type in the address with 92803, it just auto-corrects to 92802.
It wasn't a typo, if it is wrong, she said it verbally, and I repeated it back. I will check this weekend.
ETA - I just called back, and got the automated line, and it clearly says "3".

Hmm. This is interesting. I can't find anything indicating that 92803 exists really. There's only 43 business located inside of it and 0 population supposedly, but it's not on any zip code maps at all. But, looking through Google search results, there are listings that list it as 92803 instead of 92802. I'd actually be interested to know what that's all about lol.
Anyway, back on topic, it does appear that the 92803 address is technically accurate.
For years, Google said my house address didn't exist. I lived here. I received mail here. Overlapping that time period, the USPS changed my zip code. Google still had my old zip code. When I need directions somewhere I ask "Does Google know how to find you" because sometimes, it doesn't. Just the other day, I was looking up an address and it kept redirecting me telling me the street didn't exist. Uhm, clearly it does because the person who gave it to me knows where she lives.
Google doesn't know everything.

Some GPS systems can't find us, as we are mysteriously labeled private property. Google finally did locate us three years after our house was built, but sends you to a neighbor.
I always make taxi and car companies look us up prior to driving over--otherwise I get this call..."Um, I can't find your neighborhood,"

I never said it did. I said that Google was auto-correcting to 92802, but they had mixed listing that listed the following two addresses:

Also, Disneyland lists their parking address online as:
1313 S. Disneyland Drive
Anaheim, CA 92802
So, apparently Disneyland must be like right on the border of 92802 and 92803 now. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they created a zip code just for Disneyland itself!I had a one year old Magellan and used it in Tucson once. They had done some road work and obviously my GPS didn't account for that. I ended up taking the wrong turn and it took me a while to find the way there myself. Also, my parents GPS didn't have my sister's address in it until they recently updated the maps.
With a GPS, the maps are usually only updated once per year and only if the owner takes the time to do it. They aren't connected to a network where they can download and use new map data whenever they please (as Google Maps and other smart phone navigation systems are). And, as you said, private properties never make it in. My aunt and uncle's house is the same way. They are in a gated community that all share the same address and have different residence numbers (a la apartment numbers). Naturally, the GPS gets you to the gate and you have to know the rest of the way (the entire development is just one big shaded area on GPS maps).
In either case, that doesn't apply to Disney. It's a public property that should be in every system. It's just a matter of how updated the information is. Apparently, there's some other disconnect here as well.

I can't program my VCR but I do know how my GPS works (and my smart phone, too!).

Has anyone who sent in an inquiry heard back yet? It has been about 6 weeks since I sent in my request and I am still waiting... to be on the wait list.
I am thinking with all the issues that have popped up with this, it may be closer to 12 weeks to hear back?

Interestingly, it hasn't moved. No one quit, and they haven't increased the membership. My last call, I have 2+ more years (which was hwhat I was told in Oct also...)

I don't expect that the waiting list will move until several spots have opened. That will be the true test of how many people on the waiting list are willing to pay the dues for new memberships. Until then, why would anyone take themselves off the list? But once someone is actually offered a spot at the new rates, they will have to either accept it or decline the offer (and thus take themselves off the list at that point). If the first person on the list accepts the spot, the list doesn't move significantly. If they have to go down 10+ people before someone says yes, then everyone else's place will jump up.
