The gift card is a great idea for the tips. I don't do the dining plan, but when I was there with my 3 sisters, it was GREAT to just whip out a gift card that we'd all contributed to, to pay for each meal.
Since they are on 3 different packages I think the server has to split the bill by room anyways to bill the dining plan correctly. I think the auto tip is on each rooms bill.

This is correct. When we went in December, we had two different rooms. Each room is charged separate - and they make sure to ask who is on what room. Our room had 4 people and the other had 2 people. They will bring you a receipt showing the charge and how many credits you have left, and, if you have a large enough group to have the tip added automatically, the tip will be split per person (so, ours came out with 2/3rds of the tip and the other room had 1/3rd of the tip). It could not have been made any easier for us!

Thank you all for the info. We are going to put $400 on card to cover the 5 days. We hope that gives us extra to tip for great service. Left over well go towards a ride photo or something.

Since you have one reservation for the meal you are considered one group.

Upon request, the server will split the bill. (Note it works better if you let the server know at the start who will be on which check.)

Since you are a party of six or more you are subject to the 18% automatic gratuity. Each of the three checks will have the 18% gratuity added for the food and beverages on that particular check.
