Thanks Niwel. I sent an email yesterday and another one this morning but no reply as yet. I'm less worried about my team changes and more concerned about the fact that I don't have any of the timeline details, etc. since I never got any of the follow-up emails, only my receipt. Any suggestions?

I know it's kinda late to check in, but the "Fantasmic Four" (Christina, Heidi, Ben and Tim) is back and ready to do better. We were the other brand new team in the advanced division in September. We came in 13th and are hoping to land a little higher now that we have some experience under our belts. So excited for Sunday!
I just read the latest MouseAdventure Player Newsletter. This game sounds SO AWESOME!! I don't know if it's the caffeine from the coffee I just drank, but I am so excited. What a cool format. This is going to be a blast.

I was wondering if MA is going to do another charitable drive for this event? I know we did the Red Cross for Luau, and a toy drive for the MA Zone. But I didn't see anything in this newsletter...
MouseAdventure Luau - Ladies & The Tramp - 6th Place
MouseAdventure Zone - The Squirrel Squad - 5th Place
MouseAdventure Card Games - The Squirrel Squad - 7th Place
I too am excited about this new game format. There appear to be all sorts of places to make dumb mistakes and it wouldn't be a MA without the Lost Falls Expeditions making a few of those!!!!!!
What can you tell us about the differences between Basic and Advanced? How much game overlap is there?

For those who may need it, the two newsletters that have gone out are posted in this thread:
http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/show...yer-Newsletter
TheMur:The two primary differences are:
1) You get to go into DCA while basic doesn't.
2) You're versions of the quests are written with a more advanced player in mind. So even while doing the same thing as the Basic division you may get less detailed instructions. Or you may need to do more than them.
Oh boy, today's newsletter and the posts here are making me giddy!
(I know I'm about to jinx this but...) The weather forecast says it'll be in the mid-60s on Sunday! So it should be a great day to misread every single clue and run around in circles.
- Spring MouseAdventures: Decades advanced: our goal? to finish. mission accomplished!
- december 09 reindeer games: 26th place, & drenched all the way through!
- spring 09 mouse adventure (train, trams, and monorails): advanced division, with a newbie! the dominoes and the jigsaw puzzle nearly killed us!
- fall 08 mouse adventures: third place in the 101 division!

I am personally looking forward to seeing how many pushups every can do for the "physical challenges." I think I can manage about 2 and a half--so we've got it in the bag!!
Any hints as to how these Queen quests will work?
I haven't seen this posted anywhere yet (but I also haven't really looked).
Please be aware that Daylight Saving Time starts this weekend. Clocks go ahead 1 hour at 2am Saturday night/Sunday morning -- so we're losing an hour of sleep right before the event.
I'm (at least almost entirely) sure that I'm not the only person who didn't know until today that the clocks change this weekend.

Everything in life is only for now.
Nope - it never ends.
I'm going to channel your mother here for a moment.
This event is quite a bit longer than most of the other events have been recently (particularly for the basic players). So even if you don't want to take the time to eat an actual lunch while you're working on cards, please make sure you bring adequate fuel for your bodies to be able to still be going at the end to get those last few points.
I'm thinking meal-substitue protein bars or the like, as well as (obviously) adequate hydration.
It will make reaching goal number one (Still be talking to each other at the end) and number two (Have Fun) much easier.
This public service announcment has been brought to you by The Drince88e8, who unfortunately, won't be participating this time around.

Yes, fuel is so important! Since I started running last year I have discovered many different fuel sorces I didn't know about before. I am planning to bring some Roctane, which is a gu-like substance with caffeine. I figure I'll reserve that for the last few hours. Timing is everything. If you wait to long to fuel, you may get into that downward spiral we all want to avoid!!

New team LMJM checking in, we are in the basic division and all four of us are new to the event. This sounds like alot of fun!

Fantasmic Four (Julie, Steve, Julie, Ken) finally checking in for Day at the Park. We see a new team with the same team name but this team name has been ours since the beginning of our time with you (14th game this year!) and we just don't want to change it. Yes, we should be moving up to Advanced but when given the chance to do less than Basic, we jump on it. We want to eventually win and, meanwhile, figure out how we can improve.

Yay for another Day at the Park team! It's going to kill me tomorrow to not be able to read any of the reports from the game! I don't want any of the quests to be spoiled! Good luck everyone. I look forward to seeing those who will be playing in two weeks!
