    Anything new at Innoventions?

We are going the first week of March. We were wondering if there is anything new at Innoventions in EPCOT? Last time we went they had Sum of All Thrills - where you create a roller coaster ride and ride it in a simulator. Is that still there? It seems like almost every time we go Innoventions is being changed around, just wondering what to expect this time. Thank you.

I was just in Innoventions 1/14. They still had Sum of All Thrills and the "hurricane house" The testing area for repetitive door slamming, hitting a screen with a hammer, etc. was also still there. In the opposite pavilion they had a new game I played that involved a piggy bank. You are loaned an actual piggy bank that allows you to play several screen games where you try to save money. I enjoyed this very much and was given a piggy bank sticker at the end. (the piggy banks stay there) I also noticed that the fire safety classes were still happening. It's very interesting too watch the children trying to crawl their way out while following directions. Oh yes, and in this area they also had an entire wall of video games that you could play.

I hope you enjoy your trip! Try Kim Possible if you can!

I agree, the Piggy Bank game is a lot of fun. Lessons/games on saving vs spending; inflation; and diversification - all while you work towards one of three(?) goals you set at the start.

And I agree, if you didn't get to do any Kim Possible Adventures last time, they're fun. I've even done some countries multiple times, and there are number of different 'effects' that give you your clues, so it's never been the same thing twice!

Thank you far all the info about innoventions. I'm glad to hear that Sum of All Thrills is still there and I can't wait to try the piggy bank game. We've tried most of the Kim Possible adventures last time but I did not realize that they could be different if you do the same country again - we'll try some more this time.

    Thanks again.

I didn't know that the KP effects could change either. I've done Germany, Japan and Mexico once each. So if I do them again there's a possibility that the effects would be different the 2nd time around?

To some extent, every game, even at the same country, has the potential of taking different twists in the storyline. Some elements may be added or removed based upon certain game criteria as well as how many people are playing in a certain country.

Thank you GusMan. I was telling my DH about KP and I am hoping he will try it the next time we are at EPCOT. It'll be fun to see what might change.

    Thanks for the info!

I think the final 'you caught them' is the same, but the intermediate steps can be different. Even when they were doing testing, GusMan, TinaMouse, MikeDemo, and myself split into two teams, and we had slightly different experiences.
