I got mine yesterday at 4:37; e-mail subject was "Final race instructions for your Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend!"

I'm in corral F with both bibs. (Long story, but I wound up registering twice). Darn, I was hoping to get into E with at least one of them.

I got the email and got the PDF for the waiver, but i didn't find anything about a corral. My bib number was on the waiver, but not the corral.
Was that info on your waiver?
The bib number is on your waiver, and you can look up your corral based on your bib number here.

Thank you!
I am in G.
For those of you who have done this before, about how long will it be from the start time of 5:45 until the last corral actually starts?
(I'm new, I know nothing!)
Shoot. I got in corral B (don't know how), but my sister is all the way in the last corral. Booooooo. She runs about a 2hr half, that has to be better than the last corral.
Have her email disneysports@trackshack.com with her proof of time. They'll fix it.

This happened to my husband and his best friend at the WDW Half in January. They are both sub 2:10 runners and the both ended up in corral H, I was running my first half and I ended up in E or F. I felt bad for the guys, they were really dodging and weaving and it had taken a real toll on them by the time they caught me just before mile 6. At that point my DH's BFF decided to push on, but my DH slowed up big time and finished with me.

Typically it's more like every 10 minutes.
She should definitely change. It will be safer for her and those she will have to pass early on. Have her bring a print out of an official time from a recent race that is at least 10K distance. For the DL half, the race must be no earlier than after July 1, 2011. If she doesn't have a race since then, I would suggest finding a timed local race, and entering in the interim.
When you register, you have to enter a previous time if you are under the time stated on the registration form. If you don't provide a previous time, they will put you in one of the last corrals even if you state your estimated time is under.
I would still get there early enough to be in your corral at 5:45a. Last year, I was in G (last corral) and after the first corral left, they started moving each group up to the start line. And although you'll be in D (pretty easy to access), last year they began to block people from moving around at a certain point. A last minute potty break resulted in getting blocked off from returning to our corral. My husband literally threw me over a barricade so we could get back to our group. This year, no last minute bathroom breaks. We're also in corral D, maybe we'll see you in there.![]()
Ok, I'm starting to get paranoid about the sweepers. ( This article http://www.mouseplanet.com/7222/You_...o_the_Distance didn't help my fear!)
Are they fair about adjusting to the actual start time of the last corral, or am I going to have to make up time?
Kimmybear- you said you were in G last year- How long did it take for you to actually start?
Relax, Jodi!!!
I know, easy for me to say. But trust your training. If they would sweep at the first mile (which they don't), they would only sweep people that weren't past that point 16 minutes after the last person crossed the start line. So as long as you keep your pace, you don't need to worry.
Hang in there and just keep 'swimming'!!
Jodi- We crossed the start line at 6:36am, but I think last year they started at 6am, instead of 5:45am.
You definitely won't have to make up the time, but keep in mind the time clocks you see on the mile markers will be ~30 mins ahead. My picture by the Mile 1 marker says 46 minutes!

I personally am looking forward to an earlier start. I wish they'd start us at 5am. I went for a run yesterday at about 5:50 and had to turn around and come back a mile in. It was already 74 when I got back and the air was stiff, no breeze at all. Ugh. Summer training stinks.

Finished 10 miles yesterday and today I started my road trip down.
So, I'd love to meet some of you who I've just been chatting with on this board. Who here will be moving about 13 minutes a mile at the race and wants company?

Timi, I'm slower than that (14ish min/mi), but would love to meet and say hello sometime during race weekend. Lots of my teammates post on these boards and I'm sure someone will be in that range. I can think of three off the top of my head. We'll be meeting up as a team near bag check before we head to the corrals. Let me know if you want details.
