    Liquor delivery?

Where could we find a place to deliver liquor to our resort? For some reason, I thought Garden Grocer did, but I ordered my regular order and they did not sell beer. I really thought they did. Does anyone know of anywhere that does? Is it even allowed to be delivered to Disney resorts?

About a year ago, there was a similar question posed and 3Princess1Prince wrote:

If anyone is only looking to buy alcohol, there is a company in Orlando that'll deliver for a very small fee $2.49-5 depending on where). It's www.beerrun.biz
I came across it on another site.
GusMan also posted that Garden Grocer could do beer, but maybe they've changed - or maybe it's a special order item 'hidden' elsewhere on their site?

At the time of that past thread, GG did do beer... but I havent been on their site for a long time, so things could have changed.

Beer had to be added in the notes when you place your order and they have to call you back to actually place the order. It's not on their site.

If all you want delivered is alcohol then the above place may be better.

Maybe I'm imagining this, but I seem to recall that if you have GG bring alcohol, you HAVE to be present to accept delivery, they won't just leave it with bell services because of the need for age verification.

    Definitely ask about that!

You should call to confirm. If you cant guarantee that you wont be there at that time, and they wont leave it, then you may need to cancel the order.
Most of the time, they deliver early, regardless of the time slot you put down. Happened to us each time we used them.

Yes, they have to have someone over 21 "sign" for it. Otherwise, lots of kids under 21 would order it with mum and pop's credit card and voila!

I called today to see if i needed to be there at Check in because of the alcoholic beverage, the woman (returned my "call" via email) told me I did not need to be there. I would just need to show ID at my concierge? If she gave me false info, I have the email saved to my cell, and they will have lots of explaining to do

Wow--good to know. They must have changed the rule. That puts a lot of potential responsibility on the WDW staff though...liability and all. Please let us know how it goes since this is a substantive change to what we thought. THANKS!

Beer is also available at the Hess "stores". Out the back entrance and across the parking lot of the Boardwalk (for those staying at Epcot resorts) and at the 2nd bus stop at Downtown Disney for other resorts. (I find it funny that yours truly, who does not drink alcohol, knows this information)

We didn't have delivery, but we were happy to (courtesy of these boards) visit the Hess station near the 2nd Downtown Disney stop (by Treasure Island) and pick up some beer and coolers. We stopped on the way home from one of the parks one night; DH & DS went across the street to get the goods while DD & I hung out at the stop (we were tired and lazy). We were back on a bus within 20 minutes, well worth the stop, too!
