    First of all, congratulations!

Bummer that you had to be in NY during that freakish snowstorm but at least you made it out of Boston in time as that city got hit a lot worse. (I live halfway between both cities and we were without electricity for a week!) It's been an odd "winter" in the northeast as it doesn't usually snow that early and it has barely snowed since. (And now we're getting May weather in March.) I thought it was hilarious that DB's perfectly laid plans got blocked at every turn.

    Awesome report. Thanks for sharing.

I never considered downloading posts to read on the Kindle or video player before. Great idea!

I'll have to post in sections, because I have already forgotten what I was going to say about the first few sections of the trip. So.....first off, love the Dunkin' Donuts and I COMPLETELY understand. There are NO DD here in Minnesota and no decent donuts in general, so we relish a DD whenever we travel. Tim Horton's is also good if you ever run across one of those.

Secondly, Salem made me creeped out. Seriously creepy place. My ex's family is from the Boston area and we went to Salem to visit my ex BIL. I guess it might have helped if I went "the crucible" route.

Thirdly, CONGRATS TO YOU!!!!! So glad to hear how much trial and error your to-be DH had because it makes a GREAT story!!!!!

Regarding the water in the "internal" flight--doesn't matter unless you only switch gates WITHIN the secure area. If you have water at a security checkpoint, out it goes. It's standard.

OK--off to Florida with you to read on. My mom just had her hip replaced and I'm sitting here at Mayo (very large hospital in MN) watching her sleep, reading your trip report, and listening to MouseWorld Radio. Not too bad of a way to wait this thing out.....

Wow Tina - thanks for the lovely comments, and sorry to hear about your mom! Hope she feels better soon. It feels really weird to be sitting here in the UK knowing that you are thousands of miles away, enjoying my trip story, and listening to a great radio station!

Enjoy the rest - I think you will. I hope so.

Small P.S. to the proposal story - I found out only recently that the first, original, proposal idea was to book us into the Chelsea Hotel for one night during our NY stay, in the room that Marilyn Monroe used to use, (I am obsessed with her and really love her films!), but then the hotel closed down! So that led onto the rest of the ideas .... Bless him. I can't wait to be his wife.

And by the way - thanks for the congrats, and the wedding is in 10 days time!! Eek - how did that happen???

10 days!! WOW! I had no idea it was that close! Congrats and have a wonderful day!

Did you see My Week with Marilyn? I haven't rented it yet, but it looked good. Mom is much better today. She even moved around a bit. Looking to come home from hospital tomorrow. Back at the story!!!

I have friends who eat at Trails End for their first meal always. They call it "Begin at the End dinner." We have eaten there for our LAST breakfast for the past half dozen trips, but I think we may change up the tradition (thus negating the tradition). It takes a lifetime to get there without a car.

Vacations are ready-made for breakfasts of cake. You go!

    LOVE mouse gears!!!!!

Never eaten at Garden Grill....might have to try that!

Mom needs a little lunch assistance--be back later.

I loved every word of your trip report. Your writing is the next best thing to being there.

Congratulations! I'll be thinking of you on your lovely wedding day. I plan a trip to WDW the last week of October. So, in an odd, creepy sort of way, I can share your Disneymoon!

FINISHED! No, it didn't take me 2 months. Started a new job and realized that if I read on the way home on the bus, I can finally catch up with my overdue trip reports! YOURS was the first. What a lovely, lovely trip report. I lost count at how many times he proposed, but I was tearing up along with you. BIG relief on finding the backpack. That would have been so scary! I figured you would be saying you had a huge overage on the weight on the way back. GOOD JOB! Did your snow globe make it? And finally, I know one is exercise pants and one is what we call gym shoes, but what is the difference between trainers and joggers?

MANY hugs and can't wait to read about the next trip! Did you decide to get married in the UK or at Franck's?

Wow, I am so happy that you finished reading and that you enjoyed the report! Thank you so much for taking the time to read it.

    Okay - questions answered.

Yes, the snow globe made it safely, and now joins my other small collection on a special shelf in the bedroom. It looks lovely!

    Trainers = training shoes
Joggers = loose fitting exercise pants (elastic waist, very comfy!)

We did indeed get married in the UK, 7 weeks ago. We had a wonderful day - after all the horrendous rain and wind, the day itself was bright, sunny and warm. We had an early morning ceremony in a Registry Office, and then took a small group of family and friends to a local music festival where we had set up a marquee in the camping field. My wonderful daughter had spent a long time decorating the marquee, putting out food and drinks, setting up music and gorgeous ambient lighting. We spent the next few hours just relaxing with people we love, and it was amazing.

We are having a bigger party for the rest of our family and friends in September, when hopefully my brother and his family can make it over from Dallas, and then we have our Disneymoon to look forward to at the end of October.

My husband and I are very happy!

Thank you again for taking the time to read the report, and for your kind comments, it is much appreciated.

    Disney hugs.

So happy for you! I loved reading your trip report and can not believe how much detail you have in it! Thank you so very much for taking the time to write such a great TR and sharing it with all of us. Best wishes to you and the new hubby, can't wait to read the Disneymoon report!

Thank you, most kind of you to say so! I'm glad you enjoyed it. The amount of detail is probably due to my Disney OCD!!
