Japanese Counter Service--New Restaurant and New Menu!

I saw over at the Disney Food Blog and at AllEars that Yakitori House is being completely rehauled and will open in mid-December as the Katsura Grill.

The menu looks quite interesting--a larger menu than the old YH. Japanese curries, Udon noodles, and this tasty Chicken cutlet sandwich all pique my interest. It's awesome to have several good CS options at Epcot, so I am eager to try this one out!

If anyone gets a photo of the new menu board, please send it to me stephanie(at)mouseplanet.com so I can update our guide page. Thanks!

The new menu is up on our MousePlanet guide page here. DisneyFoodBlog also had a review today with some photos of the items. I'm looking forward to trying it in January!

Wish we had tried something else at this location when we visited in December. The Okonomi Yaki was oily and actually made me not feel so good. My husband LOVES this when he visits Hiroshima so he was looking forward to trying it. Wish I had gotten a noodle dish instead!

I had the tempura udon. It was good, but I think I might stick to one of the rice dishes next time. The salt content of the broth was probably really high. My fingers started to swell up!

The service is great, and the location is very nice. It's a great quiet spot to go and rest for a bit on a hectic day.

The udon noodle soup was delicious...the noodles are nice and thick!

I will have to try that when I am there. The prices looked reasonable as well.
