That's what 17 year old kids are for--pop runs. He's my mug runner. He doesn't care, which is nice. I have seen people rinse them and then clip them to their backpacks with carabiners. Not exactly how I would like to tote them. We eat in the room, so we send said gopher in the morning for drinks, drink them while we're getting ready, and then leave them in the room. We never eat in the food court for breakfast (absolute chaos), so it works. After the day is over, gopher retrieves the mugs and fills them up. SOMETIMES we have to have him go twice. That's when he gets a little....er....irritated. Cuz we all know how little the mugs hold at one time. We forego ice at the machine and just put some ice in a glass and transfer pop from mug to glass to eek out a little more mileage.
Working hard for that next WDW trip! December 2013
DD and I splurged for the mugs in April and yes it was sort of a pain to remember to bring them down with you from the room and than cart them all over the parks (But I carry a big tote bag), but I have to say they were great and I use mine almost everyday to bring coffee to work in.
We only saw the black, pink, and teal lids. I did not see any type of bar code in April.
ETA: Oh and just a note to self or anyone else that may find it amusing. Don't drink hot chocolate before bed! I made that mistake and was about to start the vacuum and start dusting I was so wired! ;-)
