Lightbulb Red Lion Hotel~ What do you think?

We are from the Pacific NW and have lots of Red Lion Hotels, and stay with them often...in fact, we have earned 6 nights of FREE stays! Of course, we will be redeeming them in Anaheim. Has anyone ever stayed there? How far is the walk to the Parks? Anything else I should know...

Any day is a great day at Disneyland!

I've stayed fairly recently and wrote a review in the hotel review section you might find helpful.
Start with user reviews in the bar at the top.

Thanks! I found your review helpful, and we will make sure to let them know we are "light sleepers". (We live in the Country and are not used to "City" noise) I wish there were more reviews of the Red Lion.

Distance from Disneyland to Red Lion Hotel

How far of a walk from Disneyland to the Red Lion Hotel would you say? This will be our first time staying there. I know where it is, but I am just curious how FAR when we are SUPER tired! Thanks!

20 mins if you are fast, 25 if slower. You might consider riding ART. There is a pick up outside the hotel.

Or, you can cut your walk (its about .75 miles from the hotel to the esplanade) in half by riding the Toy Story lot bus.

We stayed at the Red Lion for a night this summer. We had reservations for the DLH, but decided to go a day earlier and chose the Red Lion because of someone else's recommendation on here and it had a great rate. We really liked the Red Lion. The rooms were very clean and up to date. Cool decor and great flat panel t.v.. We had no issues with it at all. And IHOP is right next door to.

I've stayed at the Red Lion numerous times and always enjoyed it. The rooms are beautiful and immaculate. The walk isn't bad. About 25 min. Only suggestion... stay away from the IHOP.

Did you have a bad experience at the IHOP? We liked it. We actually went there twice that trip. Once when when we stayed at the Red Lion and then several days later before we hit the road fo the trip back home. I thought it was much quieter and cleaner than the IHOP right across the street from DL. Service was quick and friendly also.

I went with a bunch of friends to the IHOP across the street from Disneyland after the CHOC walk this year and we were very happy with the restaurant and the service. They even had this AMAZING balloon artist that did Disney characters! Food was great!

The service was bad, the food horrible and everyone in our party got sick after eating there.

Thanks for the Red Lion comments...we will try IHOP and see what we think. I was wondering how far the walk was...ART might be a good idea!

It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the front gate, depending on how fast you walk.
