What about team members and family registering to vote?

My team mate (and girlfriend) and mother both registered so they could vote in the contest, but all from the same computer (and IP address no doubt...). So that is OK right?

As long as they're all real individual people, who could have their own MousePad account in accordance with our Community Policies, it's fine.

Some friends have said they've registered and logged in, but still aren't allowed to vote. Any ideas what the problem might be?

New MousePad accounts are manually approved, usually (not always) by me and usually (not always) within a few hours of registration. It cuts down on spammers and sock puppets. Today I was on the road and no one else who approves accounts was available either. I've now cleared the queue so your friends should be able to log in.
