During the offer period tickets may be purchased by Eligible Service Members (or their spouse, but not both), for their family and friends. Tickets are limited to 6 per Eligible Service Member. If a military member has already participated in the promotion (since the start date of Oct 3, 2010), they will have one more opportunity to purchase up to six tickets total prior to the promotion end date in 2012. If a military member has not participated in the promotion at all, they will have the opportunity to purchase up to six tickets twice prior to the end of the promotion. HOWEVER, this does not mean that they may purchase and activate twelve (12) tickets at once. Only six tickets may be purchased/activated per qualified military Guest per trip/visit.

Eligible Service Member defined: Active or retired members of the U.S. Military, including activated members of the National Guard and Reservists as well as active or retired members of the U.S. Coast Guard. ONLY! Foreign military and coalition partners do not qualify for the Salute tickets. All tickets are exchange certificates and will need to be exchanged/activated at the Main Entrance theme park ticket window (no later than Sept 30, 2012 for Disneyland and no later than Sept 27,2012 for Walt Disney World) in order to be fully used. Valid military identification will be required.

No more than six (6) tickets may be purchased and activated by any Eligible Service Member and/or spouse (regardless of the place of purchase and whether purchased by that person or that persons spouse). No Eligible Service Member (or spouse) may purchase promotional tickets at any military sales outlet if that person (or that persons spouse) previously purchased promotional tickets (whether at the same military sales outlet or any other military sales outlet or any other place). In addition, one of the six (6) tickets purchased must be for use by the Eligible Member or his/her spouse.

Dependents traveling alone do not qualify. Each promotional ticket must be used by the same person on any and all days. Tickets may be used ONLY by the Eligible Service Member, spouse, other family members or friends for whom they were purchased. In addition, a valid military ID may be required for admission. PLEASE ALLOW 7 TO 10 DAYS FOR DELIVERY.

We think this is just what the DOC ordered and is nothing to SNEEZE at."

It is interesting that they say an ID may be required for admission. Say you buy six tickets for your family then you take a break in the hotel while they parkhop to DCA, whose going to show the ID. Just saying.

My MIL bought one of these tickets when she came to DL with us for the day. It was a good deal because it was basically the same price as a 1-day hopper. The days do not have to be used in a row. So she has 2 days left on her ticket and can return any time in the year. Pretty great since my hubby and I have APs. She can go again with us sometime. They did not ask to see her ID at the gate, though she did have it with her.

In my experience and questioning ITT you only need the ID for turning the vouchers into tickets. Once you get the tickets you use them like any other Disney ticket.

That makes more sense. So if you buy the tickets on base they would give you vouchers, then you would need ID to turn the vouchers into tickets? She bought her ticket at the gate. She was just going to buy a 1-day ticket, but I talked her into doing the 3-day military ticket since it was only a little more than a regular 1-day ticket and cheaper than a park hopper. We took her to both DCA and DL. She has only been to DL two other times in her life, once as a kid and once when my husband (her youngest) was 5. I hope she'll consider spending another day with us one of the times we go. She has a sister in the LA area.

Yes, its along the same lines as buying a voucher from Disney and turning it in for tickets, its just they want the military sponser who bought them to show their ID. Once you have the ticket everyone is free to come and go as they please.
