I had apps. maps all of the above but we still had issues getting around we'd be on auto pilot just trying to get somewhere and then we'd realize something was in the wrong place! When we walked down main st. the first time I said "it all feels so familiar, yet its SO different!"F&W with the girls sounds great! The 1/2 marathon just for fun? Hum, I need to think about that one! And dont you have to get up really early just for that? I think I might do better waiting at the finish line with a cup of coffee cheering ya'll on!
Oh yes F&W with the girls....that sounds like a trip worth repeating with three of your other Disney besties if you ask me! Than just for fun we will get F and T to run the half marathon with us too! LOL!
The year I did the half at WDW, I did go cheer on runners within a about a mile of the finish line. Just so happens that was about where Germany was, and I was there right about when WS opened. So I had to get a beer. I was going to save some for my coach who was doing the Goofy, but it got too warm.The 1/2 marathon just for fun? Hum, I need to think about that one! I really do enjoy cheering racers, especially the ones who are getting more time for their registration dollars!!

Thanks Tina. Leaving in a half hour for the airport. I can't believe I packed in a smallish carryon and one personal item! It's 51 degrees here now with a high of 61. I will be sweltering in a few hours! See you next Friday!

Well 62 days and counting. The plan was to do the Universal/IOA and Seaworld gig this trip to Orlando. Staying offsite through our time share. But we have come to the realization that the boys just won't be tall enough to ride everything at those parks. Basically the really cool stuff. And that's not fair to them and why pay for what they can't ride. They will by next summer. That and the fact that two other families that are friends are going to WDW the same week (Thanksgiving), so it will be back to WDW for the week. Where they can ride everything. Ah, I hate it when that happens...

Which timeshare are you staying? Some are so pretty and we never have time to enjoy them. I love the roominess and having a washer and dryer right in the unit. We did Universals/IOA...HP World was amazing and we actually loved Universals more than IOA. Have a GREAT trip!!!!

We really wanted Universal, IOA, Seaworld to work but we have been at WDW when they were just millimeters away from being able to ride R'n'R Coaster and that just sucked! So we don't want to take that chance. We know we can do it next summer and would rather be safe than sorry! Can't wait to go!
We are staying at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort - River Island. Here is a little bit about the resort:
Orange Lake Resort spans 1,450 acres and is located adjacent to Disney. Guests have access to all four resort villages featuring seven pools, a 1,200 foot long lazy river, an 80 acre lake with beach and watersports, four golf courses, four stores, seven restaurants, two mini golf courses, three fitness centers, basketball, tennis, racquetball courts and more. River Island's tropical water park offers a 12-acre pool complex with lazy river, waterfall, waterslides, bars, eateries and retail. Enjoy cabanas, hammocks, massages, arcade, fitness center, mini golf and inflatable waterslide.
Only 1.5 miles from AK. And we are looking forward to the roominess! Two bedrooms, Washer & Dryer, Full Kitchen, Den, etc. Especially after our stay at POR in May. Our third time there (and last) and although had a bigger room than last time, still just seemed cramped and won't get any better as the kids continue to grow. And that's our issue going forward. We probably need to go deluxe from now on for the space. But love to try new resorts. Love what the Moderates and up provide especially in the pool area so really don't want to go value. Now we could get a suite at CSR, but that is almost as much as a deluxe. But would be a nice change and try something different. Or we could just stay at the Poly everytime, our favorite and that would be cool! But this is a bonus WDW trip and am really excited!

114 days left for me. In 3 days, I will have only 16 weeks to go... 16 weeks to exercise and build my stamina up so that I can keep up with the young'uns! (Who are both age 19 and will be off on their own much of the time anyway.)
By Saturday, I should be able to get our plane tickets squared away. Keeping my fingers crossed that the $301 round-trip fare from Oakland is still available by then!

My brother and his family stayed there. He really loved it. They did less Disney and more of the Timeshare and outside of WDW.
I'd like to request that timeshare...I've heard many wonderful things about it. My niece is coming with us next trip and that's all she's talked about.
Anyway, to EVERYONE who's beautiful countdowns have magically went down to close to zero....HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

Oh my gosh!!!! Down to FOUR and a few hours. This week is pretty busy, so it should go quickly. All packed except for the last minute stuff.
BTW--got a text from nikkithepooh. She got upgraded (I can't remember if she was going to be at CBR or CSR) to the CONTEMPORARY!!! How exciting!
