14 weeks until departure day! 98 days! Just purchased my airfare this afternoon, so that makes it all the more "real." Does that make any sense?
Our red-eye departs Oakland at 8:10 PM and we will be connecting with my friend (who is flying out of Seattle) in LAX. So YAY! We get to all arrive at the same time! (6:34 AM... Who-HOOO!)
I'm slightly excited.

Yes, airfare does make things more real, as it's the only advance purchase that's either non-refundable or very hard to change or get your money back. Enjoy your slightly excited-ness!

Saratoga Springs June 17-25 booked, hoping to change to BLT...fingers crossed!!
I have been waiting to book because DH is dead set against us going in the summer because of the heat, I told him I was booking and he could stay home if he wants. He said fine, I will.Oh well, his loss. I did put him on the ressie for when he caves and decides to go with us.

97 days now.... Leaving for Best Buy in a half hour to pick up my in-flight entertainment gadget. My son just talked me out of a portable DVD player and convinced me that I (meaning "we") need an iPad. Hmmmm... wonder which one of us will end up with it during the long flight from LAX? (4 hours and 44 minutes to fill)

I hope it all works out for you, but I can't blame your husband for not wanting to go in the summer. That heat is just so oppressive, and the crowds bring everything to a sweaty cranky halt! I just came back from an end of September trip. The first day the real temp was 91 with a realfeel of 106! Very hot and muggy, and totally uncomfortable. Of course, the last day I was there the temps were in the low 80's and it felt just wonderful, giving me a big slap in the face that I hadn't booked my trip a week later . . .
