For our first question of the contest, we asked:
Many people consider the Tower of Terror to be their #1 ride, but the Walt Disney World and Paris versions of the attraction only rank #2 based on one particular criteria. For this three-part answer, tell us:
1) What that criteria is.
2) What attraction is #1 in Walt Disney World, based on the same criteria.
3) What attraction is #1 in Paris, based on the same criteria.
The correct answers are:
1) Attraction height. [More trivia: The Disneyland, WDW and Paris versions of Tower of Terror are all 199 feet tall. FAA regulations require buildings 200' tall or higher be marked with warning lights for aircraft, so Disney built the ride to be 1' shorter to avoid that requirement]
2) Expedition Everest. [More trivia: Expedition Everest is 6" taller than Tower of Terror, but still under the FAA limit.]
3) Panoramagique. [More trivia: this tethered balloon attraction is taller than Tower of Terror... but only when aloft.]
Most players who entered answered all three questions correctly, though some players thought we were looking for the fastest ride, the scariest ride, or the ride with the highest hourly capacity. Some only gave us two of the three required answers (remember, READ EVERYTHING!)
The second question in our contest is now posted - good luck!
