Just saw on FB that there is a 72 hour sale going on. Last December I got in on a 72 hour sale and scored $29 tickets from Sacramento. The Current offer is $40: 0-450 miles, $80: 451-1250 miles, $120: 1251+ miles. Thought I would give everyone the heads up. Just don't plan on traveling with those fares on a Friday or Sunday. I am going to try and score fares for October! And if I posted in the wrong place, sorry. I just thought it was appropriate for trip planning.

Good timing. I have 3 weeks vacation in August and no plans for the last week yet, and the flights in that promotion start on the first day of that week. Now I have to pick a destination.

Just FYI, for the route I was looking at, there were a lot more than just Friday and Sunday not eligible for the fare.

I was so excited to see the email announcement from Southwest today since I had been waiting to book my trip for the DL 5k at the end of August until they had a decent sale...SCORE! Of course, I'm flying down on Tuesday (8/30) and back after the race on Saturday (9/3) so it was just perfect for me!
But first I rebooked my Vegas trip in November (nephew's wedding) which I had booked last month with $79 fares...this is half the price and helped pay for the 5k trip...whoo-hoo!
