Buy my stuff on Amazon! (books, DVDs, etc) - all proceeds go to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training fundraising!

I sympathize about the shoe thing. I keep thinking that there is real money in attractive sensible shoes, if only.

    Thanks for the morning fun.
Fezzes ARE cool. And so are bow ties.

Foot iced? Check. Foot stretched? Check. Fast Pass scammed? Chec....wait a minute! You're not going to get me that easily!

Larry and I both enjoyed British Revolution. I thought they played a good variety of artists and songs. Obviously everyone still belts it out whenever they cover a Beatles' song.

Aren't ALL Doctor Who references random?

Just a few more pictures courtesy of my sister, Paula.

The bats were all very.....ahem...manly. Children! Shield your eyes!

"I can has Cast Member cheezburger?"

Legomaleficent. Which would be a great name for a Death Metal band.

Paula says she wishes she had a picture of what followed here. The guy knelt down on one knee and offered his autograph book up to Darth Vader.

Haute Couture. If your idea of haute couture is a beanie with two black plastic discs stapled onto it.

    Glamour shot of the castle.

Fabulous report! Except for the heat, it sounds like you had a great time. Hopefully we'll see you there when it's cooler ;-)

Yes, the heat was brutal (although, we knew it would be). And, unfortunately, we came home to the third straight week of temperatures over 100 degrees. It was officially 110 yesterday. I keep telling myself at least it's a dry heat......

I've been avoiding Captain Eo like the plague. I guess I'll have to try it out now. Love the pictures!

Actually, "plague" is a good word for Captain EO. I'm glad you like the pictures. They're courtesy of Paula and Larry since they're both way better photographers than me.

You said it! I felt guilty about complaining about the heat yesterday because it was "just" 102, not like the 114 it had been a few days earlier.

Loved...loved...loved your trip report! I hope your foot is on the mend!
    Thanks for sharing!

The foot is doing much better, thank you. I think all the walking at Disney was kind of a "scared straight" experience for it (I refuse to admit that it might possibly be the ugly shoes)!

Oh boy, oh boy! A ROBIN EXCLUSIVE! What a fun read. You are so incredibly witty and funny. Loved it! Feel better soon.

Working hard for that next WDW trip! December 2013

Not sure if this takes because it's the first time I've ever tried to post. But here goes. PF can be cured. I went to this one doctor who even gave me a steriod shot in my heel. Never experienced such pain. He had a set of orthodonics made for my shoes which didn't help. After many weeks I went to a well respected hospital firm who gave me a set of exercises to do everyday. In a matter of weeks the pain was gone and hasn't come back.

Great trip report. I laughed out loud at some of your comments. I've written and my wife has posted a couple of trip reports in the past and I have one almost complete from May. I'll have it posted, I hope, shortly.

Thanks, Tina. I think I'm pretty much all healed up now. I'll just have to remember to keep up with the stretching exercises so, hopefully, it won't reoccur.

I look forward to reading it. Anytime I can get a Disney fix, I'm happy.

Question. You said you were looking forward to the quick service dining plan. Did it live up to your expectations?

I think we all enjoyed the (relative) simplicity of the quick service dining plan this trip. It certainly releases you from having to somehow divine not only what kind of food you're going to be in the mood to eat, but also what park you're going to be in 180 days in the future.

I was concerned that we might feel a bit hamburgered to death, but we found plenty of variety so it didn't feel like we were eating burgers and fries the whole time. Also, I tried to be brave this trip and order more out of my comfort zone.

I'm sure there are worse ways to die. But still.
