    Fantasmic question

I am coming in July. Does anyone know if it is shown every night in summer.

    I believe so.

Why do people go on The Amazing Race without bothering to learn how to drive a stick shift?

You are probably looking at the July Entertainment calender on the Disny website, and wondering why Fantasmic hasn't been scheduled in July yet. You also may notice that World of Color hasn't been scheduled for July yet, either.

Summer is both a nice, as well as busy, time at the park. There is no doubt in my mind that Disney is going to want both shows going on every night that the parks aren't rained out with early closures. Since it's going to be July in Southern Cal9fornia, you can expect that not to happen. You can also expect, since it's the summer time, and the parks are open a little later into the night, that there may be as many as three showings of these two shows on good days. Well, for World of Color, anyway. I don't remember if they do that ever with Fantasmic.

In short, it's a good bet that the shows will be going on every night in July. We're just more than a month before that, and they haven't been put into the calender schedule yet, although I have to notice that Swing Dancing at California Adventure has. What's up with that?

Yes, it is. Generally, it runs at 9pm and 1030pm. If the park is really full, they will add a third showing at 1130pm.

If you want to see the 9 PM show, stake your spot about 7. Oh, and this does NOT mean throw a blanket down and then leave for 2 hours. Someone should be there the whole time. (Or you will end up like the lady who came 5 minutes before show time and wanted to know where her blanket and backpack were, and why there were people in "HER" seats. The CM will pick up unattended belongings left too long.) Or the other people who wanted to know why there was no room for them down front when they came 30 minutes before the show.

What about doing the dessert platter reserved seating. I know its expensive. I called about it and was told I can book 30 days in advance not 60. So I have some time to think about it. If I did that could I then show up minutes before show starts.

Yes and No. Someone needs to check in. You should be there about 20-30 mins before check in (not everyone has to be there, just one person with all the tickets.) Once you check in, you can go back to doing rides, then come back a few minutes before the show starts (we usually come back about 20-30 mins early to sit and relax and enjoy the dessert box.) It is all you can drink (we usually have a couple sodas and take a water with us) and the dessert box is quite big.

The view from the reserved seating area is pretty good. Every time I've done it, I've been in the front row though, so I can't comment for the people who have to sit behind me and try to see over my shoulders and head.

The hot chocolate is very nice. I usually get four of those, or so, during the show. Like I wrote in another thread about this same topic, shortly after the show starts, the drinks stop coming, no matter how much I want another one. I can't blame the workers about this problem though, because they are busy scrambling around serving everyone else.

The dessert platter is mostly very good!

Does anyone know if they would charge for a 2 yr old? I'd presume not but then maybe they are supposed to be on your lap and not have their own seat?

No charge, but they do need to sit on your lap and share your dessert.

It seems to me that I can never find the prices for things like this at the Disneyland website. So, could someone tell me the price for this? Thanks! Jennie

It is a bit expensive but I believe worth it. The view even from the back is great and the service is wonderful. Our server rearranged the chairs so we all had a perfect view.
