WDW Fine Jewelry?
After years of being a huge Disneyland nerd, I'm finally taking my first trip to WDW with my family next week!!! Yay!
I wanted to buy a Disney-themed white gold ring (hopefully a crown or tiara design if possible) to mark the occasion. I'm not really interested in sterling silver right now. Does anybody know where I should look? Thanks!

Not really sure other than maybe the watch shop on Main St. But, in Epcot, you can do the pick a pearl thing in Japan. They make a bug show out of your pearl and there are a bunch of settings to choose from. I believe some of them are white gold.
Why do people go on The Amazing Race without bothering to learn how to drive a stick shift?

There are several places to look for such, but there is a little store in the Grand Floridian resort where the Mrs. bought one of her gold rings. There are also places along Main Street at MK as well as Hollywood Studios. (Im sorry - drawing blanks about the names at the moment.)

D Street in Downtown Disney had a few jewelry items that were pretty cool the last time I looked there.

The crystal shop at DTD had some nice things. Can't recall if that's the same shop as mentioned above.

Oh yeah, Scooby! That's Arribas Brothers (I'm sure I botched the spelling). We found a LOT of jewelry there--from the inexpensive stuff all of the way to expensive stuff. There's also a "jewelry room" in World of Disney that has some pricey pieces.

I have a Pandora/Chamilia charm bracelet (European bead charms). Chamilia carries Disney and has said via e-mail that they have stores in WDW; I heard from someone else that they couldn't find them at all. Just to note I only mention Pandora as they are (I think?) the better known brand; but of course I LOVE Chamilia as they are the only ones to produce Disney charms (and Disney.com has been carrying them here & there also). Anyhow, in line with the above - anyone seen these around in WDW??? I would love to get one 'from the trip'; I might really splurge and get something 'finer' as well, depends, but after my trip in '06 when I got cute Mickey earrings that the finish came off of almost before we got home - I was so ticked! I swore I'd never buy cheap again, so sterling silver does it when it has to (I got a cute ring there from '08 trip).
Anyone? Anyone?
Thanks!

There is a jewelry counter in the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney as well. They have the regular cheaper stuff on racks and have a decent selection of nicer things in the glass cases.

I checked out the expensive jewelry case at World of Disney this past weekend. They have some items with diamonds even. I think the highest price I saw was $5000.

I do want to mention something that the Mrs. reminded me of the other day...
If you get any jewelry, do keep your receipt. In fact, make a copy of it since they tend to "fade away" over time. Disney is really good about standing behind their products, even if its beyond the warranty period, but a lot of times you need that receipt.
While we rarely experience issues with produces purchased at WDW, I did buy the Mrs a Mickey ring where the middle stone (Mickey's head) fell out after about 6 months of her wearing it. Keep in mind, this was a rather expensive gold ring that probably cost me around $200 if not more. We did take it back to Disney during our next trip and they were going to try to do something about it - but needed her receipt. Long story short, I just ended up replacing the stone myself- Which then fell out again within a year.

I'm always hesitant to get things with stones (be they real, fake on a gold or silver base) for this exact reason. Unless you get something really, really high quality, some goldsmiths will not touch it. Probably not a problem with 10 or 14 k or white gold, but certainly with any silver pieces I've purchased (always 925 silver), there's always a 'lacquer' over them that can be destroyed with the heat if they need to fix. I once got a Mickey icon with Swarovski crystals and after wearing it to death, the crystals started to fall out (I think I had it three months?) I can't quite swing the really pricey stuff so Silver does it, but I'm learning to be pretty careful with what I buy; someday maybe I can get something a little nicer! That's partly why I like my Chamilia bracelet, though - it's high quality silver and one can add to it (each trip, things to celebrate, etc.)

I'm back!
I'm back from my 10 night trip now and I only found gold rings at the jewelry shop on Main Street and the villian's room in World of Disney. (World of Disney offered more sizes.) There was only 2 designs. One 14kt with CZ stones shaped like Mickey ($300) and a 14KT gold band with a Mickey heads all the way around. ($200) I did not want to deal with lost, loose, or dirty stones so I opted for the band. They have a better selection of necklaces than rings I noticed.
Cheers!

Well, here's a story that's related and where I got a new ring:
Last year, for our 16th anniversary (and since we had our Honeymoon in WDW) my DH got me a beautiful Mickey ring, silver with CZ chips in it. It was purchased at the GF. Where we had our Honeymoon.
One morning, just recently, I woke up and it was GONE! It fell off my finger, but WHEN? I looked high and low and tore everything up!
So, I asked him for Valentine's Day (which is today...Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!) could I please have a new ring?
He found it on E-bay. It's brand new and they had lots to choose from. It's not as gorgeous as the other one, but it's pretty. It's supposed to come in the mail today.
You maybe could try E-bay for future reference. They did list a lot of Disney Jewelry that was pretty.
We bought ours without bidding....there are options of "buy it now" if you spot something you like and it's available.
And we had free shipping!
I'll glue this ring to my finger! LOL!

Yeah! The ring has arrived just now. It's on my finger and it's lovely. Now to leave proper feedback on E-bay to the seller!

I bought all my Disney charms in WDW for my Pandora bracelet. I got one at the jewelry store on Main Street and they had some in the World of Disney at DTD. Any of the jewelry areas should have them though the last time I looked they only had a few designs and some were sold out in other areas.
Good luck!

Thank you, Bellefan! Appreciate the head's up & I will watch for them there. Would have been anyhow but at least I have some idea of what might (or might not!) be there & where!

I have a Pandora with miscellaneous everything charms, then discovered we do indeed have a local retailer of Chamilia and Disney charms. I'd seen them on line (E-bay) but was always skeptical of anything I wasn't that familiar with or couldn't see in person first. I was so excited when I found them here - right before Mother's Day - and I got a couple then. For Christmas they ran a promo - free bracelet with five charms so my husband got me a toggle-style bracelet with a couple more, including some more 'pink' stuff (on a pink kick right now) so it's my Disney-Pink bracelet (got the Pink Minnie Murano one) with black & white murano 'sparkly' ones around and another couple pink murano as well. I added the ones I already have, he also got me some apparently very exclusive spacers that simply say Walt Disney on them (never seen them anywhere or on line so I suspect maybe a dealer only thing???) I am hoping to get a few more on this trip, though I can't make up my mind which ones and I also don't know what'll be there when we get there, so I guess we'll see. Oh, and a couple of weeks ago I took my mom out for lunch and shopping for an afternoon and she got me a pink enamel 'alarm clock' that I stuck on it (not Chamilia) as it kind of goes, it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland (I don't care for the Cheshire cat charm) and it's all about 'time well spent' and how precious time really is, so I love it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE both my bracelets but I can hardly wait to add to this particular one!!!

I check it daily; I was so happy to see them as when we visited Disneyland in '08 I could not find any if my life depended on it. Apparently they had some form of charms (not necessarily Disney/Chamilia) in Downtown Disney (the Silver store there, don't recall the name). Then I spotted them on Disney.com, and most recently I was talking to a store clerk, she spotted my bracelet and said her friend just came back from WDW and had a really cute Mickey charm. Another 'incentive' to pick up some there are that the prices are actually better than on line or here, I guess because of duties, etc. for Canadian retailers, so I'm hopeful to pick them up a hair cheaper (our dollar basically being at par and all). I have to say (again) I don't like purchasing on line as some I've seen in person were much larger or smaller than they appeared on line!

So they did have some Chamilia charms in WDW. I found them at the World of Disney Store in DTD (not very many); then at a larger store in the middle of Hollywood (maybe Keystone Clothiers?) - they only had a few, too. Then, finally, on our LAST day there, I had a chance to stop in the Jewelry store on Main Street USA and they had a bunch!!! I got (actually, will be getting for Mother's Day...) the 'Dreams Come True' one there - I tried to stop in it earlier but one day when I had a chance there was a parade going on, and the other day we left at 2:30 AM (EMH, really late ones!) so it was closed (most of that side of the street was closed). I forgot all about it until our last day, my son had petered out shortly after midnight and they just happened to still be open so in we went, and there they were! I also got a Mickey-head spacer and a Mickey (in 'Walt's font') dangle charm I've always wanted. Very cool. Did notice where they sold crystal (in Epcot DTD, I think) that they have another 'nameless' brand - Disney maybe??? - of European charms in Disney shapes. They were sterling silver, I believe, not cheap (in line with the Pandora) but they were also quite ugly. If they are a 'Disney brand', I hope they discontinue them and let Chamilia do what they do best - these others really were not very nice looking, at all.
