    Possibility of walk-ups

We'll be going to WDW in a week and I have made ressies for each night's dining. Unfortunately, I was not able to get into Coral Reef or Le Cellier. I know Le Cellier is nigh-on impossible, but it seems to me that on my previous visits to CR (with ressies) there were a number of walk-ups accomodated. How would my chances be if I tried it?

Also, how are the new La Hacienda de San Angel (no res) and Tutto Italia (for which I have a res).

My other ressies are for Les Chefs, Brown Derby, Mama Melrose's, Raglan Road, Turf Club, and Liberty Tavern.

    Thanks.

My dog, Cookie, is a Llasa Apso and her breed is from Tibet. So let her ride Expedition Everest because I won't ride it again.

We've had the best luck with walk-ups to Le Cellier right when they open for lunch. Always try. I know you said you've got all dinner ressies, but I think your chances will be better at lunch, before they get into full swing for the day. The worst they can say is no.

We also enjoyed Brown Derby for the first time this last visit at the beginning of Nov. We always like Mama Melrose's when we go and a couple of visits ago we did Liberty Tree Tavern for the first time and will definitely go back!

When we were there three weeks ago I was really surprised how vacant Tutto Italia was compared to other places. It seemed like the staff were just standing there waiting for anyone to walk up at the beginning of the dinner hour

I'm all about having a reservation but I was really surprised how empty that place was. The more casual place, Via Napoli, was fairly busy in comparison.

La Hacienda seemed very full but we walked by at sunset, which I would think would be a very popular time.

So I'm reading my bean feed...

We've had luck at the Coral Reef & Le Cellier before in a walk - up situation. Both times we went up there just as it was opening for lunch. I'll admit that Le Cellier could have been a fluke, however we've been able to walk up to the Coral Reef more than once. The trick for us was eating lunch early (or in one case, eating dinner early around 4:30) and being willing to wait about 20 minutes or so. One time we walked up to Coral Reef after calling for a ADR and being told there was nothing.
Disclaimer: We usually travel in January or early Feb., or at the very beginning of December, so these examples of walking up were at a time of year traditionally thought of as a off-season or low-crowd time.

Interesting. One time I stopped at Guest Services (by the tip board) in the Studios and made an ADR for 15 minutes later at 50s Prime Time and walked directly over there. They weren't taking walk ups (and I was faster than their computer at the refresh!) (This was before I was carrying my cell phone around in the parks.)

We ate at Tutto Italia on Sunday, Dec. 5th, with ressies at 12:20 PM & the restaurant was not very busy, at all. The food was very good & the service was wonderful. (possibly because it was not very busy.) I highly recommend it.

Loved Tutto! We had dinner there while on the DDP in August 2009. Our waitress was great! The food was delicious. We are a "New York Italian" family too and we are pretty hard to please.
