    Christmas Photopass questions?

While we are in WDW before Christmas I'm planning on mailing my Christmas cards. I usually include a photo of the kids or the family in them. I'm too cheap to get photo cards. I like to buy mine on clearance after Christmas. I was thinking how great it would be to get a photo of us at Disney in them this year. Does anyone know if I can print out pictures anywhere in Disney?

I believe you can get photopass pictures printed at a few locations, but those are likely to be at photopass prices (aka, not inexpensive). (Right now I'm thinking the Grand Floridian has a location, plus in the parks.)

I don't know if they will actually print your pictures anywhere or not. If I had to guess, I'd think maybe one of the photo shops in the parks - but since I never did that, I don't know.

You might be better off doing the offsite location thing, though (where you can upload the picture to the store site and then go and pick them up) - or if you're there long enough - a straight mail order and have them sent to the hotel.

Check the Imagination Pavilion in Epcot if you have your own digital camera. Kodak has an area set up with self-serve counter kiosks. These are fun and easy to use, plus you might find a greeting card option. I think you get your prints in minutes. The prices seemed to be typical for this service, 39 or 49 cents per 4x6.

While I've seen what you are talking about, I was just there and I believe they took out the kiosks.

A possible alternative is to have a Photopass photog take your pic using your camera and maybe go to one of the many Walgreen's in the area to have the cards made up.
The search function is like the Force. It may take practice, but the more you use it, the more control you will have over it!

When we were in WDW two years ago (just after Thanksgiving), I had a photopass photog take a photo with my camera of the family and later, when we got back to the hotel, I put it on the computer and sent it in to Costco via their website. When we got home, the photos were waiting for us at the store - we picked them up, finished up the Christmas letter and sent them out. Worked out great. You can add little holiday borders and everything. They even have Disney-themed photo cards to choose from if you want! Worked out great and I didn't have to pay for the $$$ Photopass cards. We did, however, get a TON of Photopass pics taken and I got them on a CDrom.

Ha! I meant to add that you could probably do the same thing at a Walgreens or Costco down near WDW and have them printed there. You can have your photos sent to whatever Costco you like to have them picked up and they are usually done in just a couple hours. I looked it up and there is a Costco near WDW in South Orlando on Waterbridge Blvd. and a Walgreens on Apopka Vineland Rd - not too far from WDW. Couple options for ya!
