Early May WDW Pics from My Daughter & Family

I didn't know if this would go better here or the trip report section, but here goes.

My daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter visited WDW during the second week of May 2010. They stayed at All Star Music on a Florida resident rate. They drove up from south FL on the Monday, after my granddaughter was out of pre-K. They had rain a good part of the way up the FL Turnpike. They were in the Country Fair section, near the big cowboy boot.

On Tuesday, they spent the day at the Magic Kingdom, getting there in time to see the opening ceremony. Their touring plan was quite simple -- do the rides and shows that my granddaughter was up for. She had gotten scared by Dinosaur and a couple other scary rides when we all visited in December 2009, so she was adamant that she did NOT want to go on "dark" and "scary" rides. They had dinner at the Crystal Palace.

Wednesday was Animal Kingdom, Thursday was Typhoon Lagoon, and Friday was Hollywood Studios in the morning and Epcot in the afternoon. On Saturday, they checked out of ASMu and then headed over to the Polynesian for breakfast at 'Ohana. The little one is a huge Stitch fan, and she had Stitch and Angel (pink girl monster) plush toys with her. At 'Ohana, the real Stitch was all over the plushes, and actually sat on the floor to play with them and my granddaughter. In many ways that was the highlight of the trip.

Here's a link to some of their pictures, which I've posted on my personal website. Comments or questions are welcomed. If I can't answer, I'll pass them on to my daughter.

You have such a beautiful family, Arnold! Thanks for the pics! I especially liked the one of the kimodo dragon splayed out on the rock! LOL.

I had forgotten that they do the pics at 'Ohana! Looking forward to that pic for us in a few weeks!

    Have a great summer.....

Thanks for the comments, Tina and Scooby. Glad you liked the pics.

BTW, last week I received notice from DVC that our waitlisted request for Animal Kingdom Villas was confirmed for December. So, we're really looking forward to our first stay there.

AKV sounds good lucky you! I think you'll be taking your trip just before we arrive. We're arriving December 17th. Are you taking your granddaughter? My daughter was 5 her first ever trip and I think it's a wonderful age to be there with a child so long as you're not personally chasing the thrill rides. She was utterly in the 'I believe place' and could remember it later as well. Memories from that trip will be special to me forever. Looking forward to your report in advance!

We're going to be there Dec. 5-12. It will be just Helena and I on this trip. But we're looking forward to another family trip that includes our granddaughter sometime in 2011 ... nothing definite planned yet, though.

Awesome Pics Arnold! Thank you for sharing! This is why I like this section compared to trip reports, you actually get to see things and feel like you are there. But I'm a visual person anyway. Again great pics!

You're welcome. Glad you liked them. Of course, the credit goes to my daughter for taking all but a few. :-)
