*NEW* ADVANCED Day at the Park Division: Sunday, June 6
You asked for it, you got it:
*NEW* ADVANCED Day at the Park Division:
MouseAdventure Anniversary
Sunday, June 6
By popular demand, we've added an ADVANCED division to our Day at the Park event. Teams in the ADVANCED Day in the Park event will attempt to solve some (approx. 12) of the Advanced quests from the May 22/23 event in a relaxed, non-competitive setting. (None of the Basic quests will be duplicated) Teams play only for bragging rights, and there is no post-event Award Ceremony: results will be posted on the Web site about a week after the event. If you've ever wondered if your team is ready to compete in the Advanced Division, this is the perfect opportunity to find out!
Please note: This is designed as a taste of Advanced-level competition, not a re-creation of the Advanced event. The "bonus" elements and souvenirs (Legos, MP3 player, props) from the May 22/23 Advanced event are NOT included in this version. Please bring your MouseAdventure Lanyard and Badge Holder to the Day at the Park event, so we can issue new team numbers for this event.
The ADVANCED Day at the Park Division is open ONLY to teams who participated in the Basic division of the MouseAdventure: Anniversary event on May 23. The Advanced MouseAdventure Day at the Park event includes both day at night quests, so teams should be prepared for a long day. The event will begin around 9am and will conclude around 10pm, though teams are welcome to leave early if necessary.
Registration for the ADVANCED Day at the Park Division is $55 per team. Each player will need admission to both Disneyland and Disney's California Adveneture on Sunday. MouseAdventure registration does not include theme park admission. Registration is very limited, and will close on May 29, or whenever the division sells out. No waiting list will be formed once the division fills.
Register today!
If you have any questions about the event, please ASK BEFORE YOU REGISTER. I want to make sure that everyone understands what you're signing up for.
AVP

I have a question which is the only thing keeping me from signing up immediately. Does it matter if my whole team isn't there the whole time, or if only 1 or 2 can show up for packet pickup?
Since we're not scored, I'm guessing all the rules about splitting up don't really matter anymore.

Can you be a little more specific? You have 2 people who can be there at sign in, and 2 more who will join you later?

We are already signed up for DITP (looking for a chance to be less frustrated and do the many quests we never got to in Basic). If we decide to do this, can we switch our registration from DITP to Advanced DITP?

We'd only be a team of 2.
I can be there in the morning for packet pickup for sure. My wife has a school meeting and would join me later in the day.
Is that okay?

Sure. And, if you want another player, THIS GUY needs a team.

Can "part" of a team register for the Advanced version? We were a family team last week; since Advanced is for 18 and up, can just us parents sign up (leaving our son out since he's what makes us the "family" due to his age)?

That's what mre200200 asked and is doing.. They were a team of 4 but only 2 are coming to Day in the Park.

I just e-mailed hubby to see if he'd be willing to skip his company picnic to do this (and told him I'd gladly absorb the money he paid to get me into the picnic
). If we sign up a team of two today, could we add the third in a day or two if he's interested?

To clarify: so if you have a 4-person team and only 2 can make it first thing in the morning to pick up the materials, can 2 more (the remainder of the team) come join in the fun later in the day?

We've dropped the 18-and-older rule for the Day at the Park version, BUT, yes, a portion of a Basic team can sign up if their entire team isn't available for the DatP event.

I'd rather you signed up for a team of 3 and dropped a player; it's way less work for us.

Would a team of five people be an option? We have another couple we'd love to bring along -- but if our third teammate gets the e-mail & decides he wants to do it, we wouldn't be able to include the couple (if we're limited to four people).

We have now signed up for a team of four. Hopefully, the other couple will be totally on board (I told them we were reserving them for that day & that the one who hasn't renewed her pass yet must do so).
I'm soooo excited!

My mom and I are interested in doing the Advanced DitP, but I work for an airline, so we fly standby. Since it's getting to be summertime, the flights are getting full. If we register and don't make it out to CA, could we get the quests mailed to us instead?

Teams that register for the Day at the Park event and do not, for whatever reason, show up to the event will have their event packet and quests mailed to them on Monday after the event.

Today is the LAST DAY to register for the Day at the Park events!
If you have ever wondered if your team is ready to compete at the Advanced level, this is your opportunity to come find out in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. We've assembled a nice selection of the Advanced quests to challenge our returning Basic teams. Come join us!

The Lost Boys (...and Girls)
The Lost Boys (...and Girls) will be there!
Just did our first MA ever last week(basic) and are ready to try(and be awed by) the advanced.

From the better-late-than-never camp, just wanted to say "Thanks, MousePlanet!" for going through the effort of creating an Advanced division for Day at the Park at the last minute. Our team's going to stay as a Basic team this weekend, but perhaps next time, we'll finally go Advanced. In any case, you guys ROCK!!

I want to say Thank you Thank you Thank you to all of the staff for putting this together today. It was so much fun to get to do the Advanced quests and to talk to you guys some too. And thank you for pushing us when we were so close to getting an answer (I hate tortillas! and yogurt!) This was an awesome day - tiring, but just a blast. I think we've decided that we're doing Advanced from now on, except maybe Invitiationals (we're not that good yet.)
