MouseAdventure Basic - May 2010 [SPOILERS / Discussion / Results]

Couple things that I can't let go of: 1- where was the answer to what wasn't in the 21st century Dr bag, and 2- for the T/F there was a 3:30 parade but a 4:00 viewing location so was the time considered to be a lie in the witness statement?

So any chance you might post the final scores ahead of the actual recap? Just team numbers and point totals?

I can wait for the recap, but I really want to know how many points we got!

The doctors bag list was upstairs very near the computer terminals. It was located in a big article on a side wall. It was kind of hidden as the wall didn't face out toward the center.

Also, when will the candid photos be up? We've only ever had 1 candid taken of us before in 6 games, and this time in our 7th I swear they took like 3-4 photos of us!

You'll have to ask Andrew nicely for results and candids - he's the ~~poor sucker~~ wonderful guy who ~~got stuck~~ volunteered to process everything since I'll be on (a much needed) vacation right after the Day at the Park event.

Hello to all the players and MP peoples out there and a huge Thank You to all of the incredible people that put this game together. I'll come back later a post a team recap for us but I want to say a couple of things first.

We were a first time team and played in the Basic game. Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Yes, we did not even start a few of the quests but we had a great time. (I agree that an anouncement during orientation saying that we probably wouldn't finish them all would have made us feel less defeated)

The awards ceremony was cool but we would gladly skip that for more quest time. It was great hearing everyones stories of their day(s) on MA. Actually that was more fun then the awards themselves. Couldn't stop laughing from 5pm-6pm. And we felt pretty dumb goin to the awards because we got so close on many quests but didn't quite finish. Then we heard all the experienced people having the same issues and felt much better. Hurray for the MA mixer! and btw... where was Scrumptious??? I've been to the park since then and still can't find it.

I'm happy that as a first time team we did enter the basic and not just DatP. We are hoping to break 200 points and will be ecstatic if we do. Oh and we are doing the DatP Advanced next week! Great idea! I don't think we are gonna be an advanced team next year but it'll be so much fun trying it out now.

All the teams were great (we didn't get many postcard meanies) and the staff was awesome!

Once again, loved it all!

Thanks for posting scores!

We are about what we guessed, not good at all. Our last two game have been our worst of 7. Last time we blame on the rain. This time we just blame it on being reduced to 2 players at the last minute.

Too bad we have to wait a year to try to make a come back!

Wow! We finished 12th out of 45 new teams. Very happy with that. and we beat 200 points!

Question: Do they post the answers to the trivia questions ever?

That's what I was wondering, I think we did pretty good on that, especially after seeing our score.

9th place! We're happy with that.

Our strategy of "take it easy, don't rush, and always stop to eat a nice lunch" seems to work pretty well. We may not get around to doing all the quests, but at least we get the ones we attempt right! (We were the team happily sitting and eating clam chowder while watching all the other teams come to look at the menu board.)

We thought we wrote "367" on the answer sheet for the postcard quest by mistake, but I think we must have gotten credit for the points. Maybe our 3 looked enough like a 2 that they gave us the benefit of the doubt!

Yeah--I was shocked that we got as many points as we did (considering that we didn't do several quests and got one for sure wrong)

Despite the best efforts of our Team Photo crew, sometimes we can't identify teams from their photos because their team number lanyards aren't visible in the photo. Can you help identify these MouseAdventure:Decades (Basic) teams?

Team name, team number or name(s) of team members would be very helpful.
