According to the Mickey Monitor, on July 24, 2010 from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., if an AP holder visits the World of Disney at DTD, they can receive up to 50% off select merchandise, door busters, special markdowns, etc.
The first 1000 WoD guests will receive a complimentary gift.
You have to have your AP and a valid picture ID.
I happen to be there on that day! I don't do well with big crowds, though....Do you think it would be worth going???? Anyone ever done this before?

I did talk to some of my friends that went to the last one and one girl left in tears. She said it was a mad house. 2 other people I know stood in line to check out for over an HOUR!

If thats the case, Ill pass. While I love a good deal, especially at WoD, I am not going to waste valuable park time to shop like it is the day after Thanksgiving.

Dang, we leave the day before.
Picture black friday at best buy or walmart and you can picture what it is like. Went last year,a total zoo. People line up at midnight. When the doors open,watch out. People grab anything with a sale sign on it and ask questions later while standing in a massive check out line. You have been warned.
Okay, I was looking forward to this. Now I think I'll avoid it at all costs. It would be nice to get 50% off some items, but not if I have to wait in line for a long time. I'm there to visit the parks, not shop til I drop.

I thought this was at Disneyland, is it Disney World or even better both? We went to the last one in DL it wasnt bad at all, I dont think they let people line up before 5 and we showed up at around 645 and still got wristbands for the gifts(even the kids) and were able to do our shopping and checkout within about 45 mins.
ETA-Apparently it is at both locations

The more I have been thinking about it, and the more I read about it, the more I know that I will NOT be attending this passholder shopping event. In fact, I would probably stay away from that store that entire day just to be safe.
