    Split Checks?

Do the Disney table-service restaurants (e.g. Chef Mickey's or Le Cellier) frown upon splitting the dining check? I'm traveling with my friend and her two daughters next month, and was hoping to ask the servers to split my food out separate whenever we eat at the table-service places.

Generally speaking, it is not really an issue. Just let your server know beforehand that you will need separate checks.

If you're going to be using any discounts, you can only apply one per table. Other than that, if they're only splitting it into 2, they shouldn't have an issue.

No, no discounts at WDW, just my Disney Visa Rewards Card sometimes!

Thanks so much for your responses...I didn't think it would be an issue, but I hadn't seen anything about this before so I wanted to check with the experts on MousePlanet!

I've traveled twice with friends and we always had split checks. It's never been an issue. We do tell them as soon as we sit down, though.

Working hard for that next WDW trip!

If you are going to split chgecks, let the sever kjnow at the start; it makes it much easier to keep track than to try to do it at the end.

Also, if there are six or more people at the table, even with separate checks the automatic 18% gratuity will be added; each check will get the 18% of that check added.

But I live less than 20 miles from Walt Disney World! And work there part-time.
