    Favorite in park songs?

The strangest thing has happened to me. Let me begin by saying it's been at least 20 years since I went to Walt Disney World. Yesterday, while packing, a song came in to my head. "Now is the time, now is the best time of your life..." At first I could not figure out where this song came from. Then it dawned on me...it's from Carousel of Progress. It's been 20+ years, and suddenly my brain tossed this out at me. I am amazed, I don't remember the ride much but I can't stop singing the song. I'm even more excited (which I did not think possible) and can't wait to walk the streets of the Magic Kingdom. I can also remember the song from the 15 year celebration. "15 years, we're having a party, at Walt Disney World..." but that one I never forgot. It's always popping up and driving me crazy because that is all I can remember. So now I'm wondering what park songs everyone else enjoys or at least can't forget?

I'm not sure about the favorite part, but the "Small World" song is definitely one I can't forget! I guess I'd have to say my favorite is Song Of The South from Splash Mountain.

"Bright Little Star" - Sonny Eclipse, from Cosmic Ray's.

IMO, quite possibly the sweetest song ever written.

I love the background music for Epcot, not to mention the pre-show music to Illuminations, Illuminations itself, and its post-show music.

Lets put it this way... Im a MouseWorld Radio and Radio Buena Vista junkie. (Found on Live365.com)

Actually what drives my husband nuts is when we get on a ride and it starts I start singing the song they play. I know all the words and phrases and just drives him insane. Right up to the bus and into the room. I guess they dont call it the happiest places for no reason. lol

I like to hear Spoonful of Sugar because I remember my mom singing/humming this song when I was little.

The background/ambiance is great at EPCOT Future World - I feel like I am in the future. But for sheer joy Zip a dee do dah. You just can't help but have a spring in your step when you get out of the log.

My favorite song that I find myself singing is also from Carousel of Progress. But, the song is "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow...". That is the original song from CoP and has been the music for the ride for at least the last 10 years. I haven't heard the other one. Can't wait to get back to WDW!!!

It would have to be the song in Carousel of Progress. I also love POTC. And, I always.... always cry when I hear "when you wish upon a star".

Me too. I'm not a cryer, but "When you wish upon a star" catches in my throat every single time.

I would be very hard-pressed to name just one song, but that combo (which I also love to listen to on MouseWorld Radio) is certainly among my favorites !!

I"d also have to say the music in Splash Mountain, Soarin', Haunted Mansion, and the exit music from Mission:Space.

Chris wrote an article about music in the parks about a month ago.

Here's a link to the thread discussing that article, and in the first post, a link to the article itself.

Ahhh - another Sonny Eclipse fan! I make sure to have lunch at least once on every visit, and I'll sit right down as close to the front as I can and bop along with Sonny!

I also like the atmospheric music that they play out of random locations around the park, like the tunes on Main Street or the entryway to Epcot. And I've also noticed that at Disney parks it seems to be OK to sing along out loud with whatever you're hearing and not get looked at as if you're a freak!

I love all the ones mentioned so far, but nothing, nothing matches the feeling I get when I hear that one song from the background in Tomorrowland... I know what it's called now from MouseWorldRadio: Behind the Waterfall. Wherever I am, when I hear it, I am instantly transported to a bench in the warm sunshine, underneath a stainless steel palm tree, and everything is right with the world.

... which is available via iTunes.
It was kinda surprising how many songs you hear at the parks that are available on iTunes. I have quite the Disney-related playlist.

Can you help me out as to what is on iTunes? I have been looking for some attraction music to add to my iPod. I have some like POTC, Small World, Tiki Room (old and new), and Carousel of Progress (old).

My favorite in park music is Adventureland Area Music and Epcot Future World area music. I can listen to that all day.

Sure. After work I can throw a list up here. Keep in mind, I am not talking about anything that you can get from the Disney-produced soundtracks. Im more referring to things like background music for certain attractions as well as pre-show music for Illuminations. (as examples) You know - music that you dont really pay attention to, but still love.

There used to be a website that listed all of the songs played as background area music. Anybody have that link?
