    Garden Grill

    Hey everyone,

I was just wondering who has dined at the Garden Grill and how did you like it?

This is one of the places we haven't dined at yet, but always wanted to...

Thumbs up or down....good food? Atmosphere...etc.

    Any input helps. Thanks!

The food is adequate (served family style), but nothing to write home about. If you go there, it should be for the character interactions with Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. We've had several meals there with our granddaughter (now 5) and the characters seems to be able to spend more time at each table there than at other character meals we've been to. Definitely the best character interactions we've ever had and consistently on visits years apart.

My kids (ages: 11, 8, and 2 at the time) loved eating here. My husband and I enjoyed it as well. We thought the food was great. It was nice to have all-you-can-eat brought to your table instead of having to juggle plates back from the buffet bars. Our waitress was super nice. Eventhough my son was technically an "adult" at Disney because of his age, she brought him a "do-it-yourself" cupcake for dessert just like his sisters had. We had great character interaction. Most of them sat right down with us in the booth. If you get seated in a booth, you can't see any other table so it feels like you have the whole place (and characters) to yourself! I think it is great place for the food and the character interaction! We would go back in a heartbeat!

If you do a search on Garden Grill, you'll find a lot of feedback in the character dining threads.

I used to really enjoy a meal there before they made it a character meal. The revolving restaurant made a very cool trip back into the scenes from the Living With the Land ride, and you could even see some stuff that you couldn't see from the boats. But now with the characters it's wall to wall kids, and just doesn't interest me any more.

Oh Danyoung Im so with you on this one. When a adult trip is being taken you kinda shy away from things that have a ton of little kids gathering around and screaming for there favorite charactor. That's just my experience since I already did the little kid thing for years and now so over it.

Don't get me wrong - I love the kiddos! They're loads of fun to watch having fun all over the World. But the Garden Grill used to be a really nice, classy, QUIET spot to enjoy a unique meal. Now it's overrun with screams and running and all that kid stuff, and it just doesn't go with the fine meal any more.
