"view first unread" and ignored messages

I've had a problem crop up lately that didn't happen before, so I thought I'd ask to see if anything's changed lately.

If I go into a thread that says it has new messages, and I click the "view first unread" link, previously, if the message was from someone I have on ignore, it would just cycle for a while, not jump to anything, but then the "view first unread" link would just go away. So, then I'd know that there wasn't really anything for me to read.

Now, if the only message is an ignored message, it just spins, but the "view first unread" link still remains. And, if the first new message is an ignored one but there are other messages, it still doesn't do anything, so if there are messages after the ignored one, I have to manually scroll down to look for them, rather than it jumping to the first new message that shouldn't be ignored. Seems odd and a bit inconvenient.

As I said, I don't remember it working that way before. It would just jump over the ignored messages to the first one not ignored.

We made a behind-the-scenes change to the way the invisible-ignore function works. This may be an unexpected consequence. I'll look into it further.

This mod had a subtle problem that appeared when the ignoree was the last poster in a thread with new posts. It caused the "View New Posts" function to attempt to jump to an invisible post.

I've removed the mod and "Ignore" behavior has reverted to standard. I'm looking into whether "ignore = invisible" can be done without breaking anything else.
