    2fer tickets

Can a resident of Sothern CA buy 2fer tickets for non-sothern CA residents, do they all need to visit the parks together?

The Disney rules at the www.Disneyland.com/tickets website are VERY clear.

Only those in the proper SoCal (or Baja CA, Mexico) Zip codes can buy or USE the tickets.

And each ticket must be used by the SAME person on both days, either the "2fer" which is the "Pay for Disneyland, get DCA for FREE!!!" ticket which is one day at each park, or the 2 day ParkHopper for the price of one is clearly marked NON-Transferable.

    Hope that helps.

I have bought tickets for my relatives many times, and have never been asked to show any I.D. We have also split the tickets between relatives, (one use for Disneyland, the next day someone else for CA) and have never been asked to show I.D. Not saying they won't just saying they haven't.

My understanding is they are cracking down on this and are asking for ID and signatures on tickets.

We bought the 4 day SoCal hopper at Costco over the holidays and my husband has used it once. No ID check at the gate and no signature on the back. We were going to use it for him again today, but the rain + tired kids who slept in killed that plan. He doesn't go as often as me and the kids so I thought the 4 day pass was a good alternative to an AP for him. I'm curious if they will make him sign it.

I called guest services and they said a So. Cal resident had to buy the tickets but anyone can use them, so OK to let friends and family use them. I think you need ID to buy the tickets, however.

You never really know...it depends on who is working sometimes. Some are sticklers for the rules, others are not. More than likely NOT.

When I called and asked last year, they did specify that one person in the party needed to be the So Cal resident.

    (I am adding some bolding...)

    • Tickets valid for Southern California residents within ZIP codes 90000-93599 and Northern Baja California residents within ZIP codes 21000-22999. Proof of residency required for admission.

    • Admission valid for one day at Disneyland park and another day at Disney's California Adventure park, but not for both parks on the same day. Tickets are valid 30 days from first use. First use must occur between January 5, 2010 through April 12, 2010. Each day of use constitutes one full day of use.

    2fer question!

I apologize if this had been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer! we have a friend who wants to go to DL with us for the day, they are socal residents so they are eligible for the 2fer. the problem is she only wants to go for one day, something about if they go to much it's not as special. I know, she's a little loopy... but my question is can they use the 2fer at both parks on one day? do the enforce one park per day? THanks!

Disney does enforce the One park per day policy. If you try and enter the second park on the same day, the CM at the turnstyle will direct you to the ticket booths and suggest upgrading to the special 2 day ParkHopper for $25.
