Fantasmic Premium Seating Help
We arrive at DL in 10 days. So I thought I'd take a chance and see if there was any premium viewing available at Fantasmic during our visit. Wahoo! there were 4 seats left for the Sunday 9pm show. So 3 of then are mine. Our 4th is a 2 yr old with special needs, and didnt have to buy him a ticket.
So here's what I need help with. The lady at the ticket sales told me at about 7:50, to go to ROA ( asked her for a more specific spot, she had no answer) and find a Fantasmic CM. Explain to him that Sammy is in a chair, and we are to be seated in a row at the end of a row so that Sammy's chair can be at that end. Then supposedly, I can leave and just come back just before showtime, and our 3 seats plus a space for Sammy's chair will be there waiting for us.
Now all this sounds a bit too vague for me, so I'm asking for your help. Isnt there a line somewhere that starts forming in order to get seating? Specifically, where do I find this line? Thanks for any help. This is the first time we've visited with Sammy, so I am open to any advice I can get.

Oh, I should add, that I do know to pick up our tickets at Guest Services and to provide i.d., visa, and confirmation #. I'm more concerned about the process to actually get to our seats. thanks again

Start at this thread, about post #32. I think you should come out all right, although I imagine someone with explicit special needs experience will be by to help you out as well.

Yes that thread has the info...but two other tidbits I didn't see in the thread...
1. If guest services is closed, you can go to a ticket window. (I came later in the day, GS was closed, and after an initial panic, went to a ticket window and got my tickets).
2. Ask the CM about the view when seated. We were excited to get a front row seat (all the way to the left facing the river.) We have 2 little ones, and we were a bit disappointed to find out the people down in front could stand. As adults we could see just fine over the heads, but the little ones ended up back in our laps. You may even want to go a little before 7:50 as most times I am in line by 7:30 and still can't get the front row. I'll add that it wasn't so much of an issue, as we got the back row and the kids could stand on our laps and see just fine, but sounds like you need to ensure better seating for a seated guest??

Thanks to all of you. I have decided that I will be there no later than 7:15 to make sure I get good views. My daughter has never seen Fantasmic and neither have her children, so I want then to have the BEST time. I'm excited too that we can stay there for the fireworks.

Yes, the left hand section is IMO--a blocked view because the people down below are made to stand up and make more room. I think it is very unfair that those seats are the same price as the ones where the people in front of you are required to sit. I would say be there even at 7 p.m.--you want to get the front row of either the middle or right hand section as you are looking at the island. And I hope this makes sense, but if you get the "left" end of a section it is better than the right end because there are pylons that block somewhat the view of the person sitting on the end on the right. (I know because that happened to me.)
If I go down, I'm going down fat and full.

So, since we need to be seated at the end to accomodate my grandson's wheelchair, we should sit at the left side? but didnt you say people on the left will be standing in front of us? There are four of us, two adults, one 2 yr old in a wheelchair, and one 7 yr old. For the money, you'd think they'd make sure people weren't standing in front of the children at least!

They don't know how many kids vs adults are going to be at any one showing, so it's not like they can say "adult only groups have to be here".
There are multiple sections that they can do the seating from, and each section has a center aisle between the chairs (if I am recalling correctly), so you wouldn't be significantly limited on where you could sit just by needing to be on an aisle.

Is it possible to watch the fireworks and then go check in for the 10:30 Fantasmic to get a decent seat, or not?

all check in is done at the *8:00* check in...which means be in line by 7 if you are serious about sitting where you want at either show. We usually have my daughter in her wheelchair in our group when we go and I make sure to be as close to first in line as humanly possible. Our favorite seats are 5-9 and they take one chair out to accomodate the wheelchair and no one stands up in front of us so my daughter has a good view from her chair. If you're watching the 10:30 show you still check in at 8:00 but have longer to get back to your assigned seats.

If there are a few of you, only one has to be in line (with ALL tickets) to get seats for Fantasmic! and the rest can wait for fireworks. Then once you check in at 8, you can join them for fireworks and then head back for Fantasmic! after.

OK-I see then. The check in time of 8:00 is for both the 9:00 and 10:30 shows. Why does the 9:00 show sell out so much faster? I guess it's because the 10:30 is just too late for some people? I just called and the 9:00 is sold out for December 11,12,&13th, however the CM told me there were plenty left for all 3 of the 10:30 shows on those dates.

More because the earlier show you are allowed to sit in your chairs and watch the fireworks, the music is piped in and you can still have beverages at that point, you only get one goodie box but you can ask for more drinks the entire time you're in the area and our server even encouraged us to get one for the road as we were gathering our stuff to leave. The later show is as generous but there's no extra time in the area sitting and watching the fireworks.

Just bought 2 tickets for the 9:00 show on the 13th which is our last night. There is 1 ticket left for each of the 9:00 shows on the 11th, 12th, and 13th according to the CM that just helped me.

Looks like we will see you there at the show! It is our first day of the trip.

We've got 7 tickets for the 9pm show on the 17th, can't wait!!! So, from what I've read we, or I, should go to check in at 7/7:15 with all the tickets and try to get seats 3-9? We've got 4 adults and a 5yr, 8yr and 11yr old. Will the younger ones have a good view or will folks be standing up? Just wondering if we should try for the back row so they can stand up ... ??? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

You will be separated. You will have 2 in one group and 5 in the other. Is that ok?
I would either pick seats 1-4 and 11-13 or 5-9 and 17 and 18. Put the kiddos in seats 7-9, or in 2-4, then the adults are behind them.

Wow, thank you Malcon10t for the information. I was not told that when making the ressies. I'll keep your advice in mind. My hubbie might just like to "get away" from the kids for the show. We'll stick the kids/grandkids together and have peace on earth for a little bit.

Its not a BIG separation, maybe 4 feet. I am going to try and draw it below.

The seats are numbered from right to left so it would be seats:
9 8 7 6 5.........4 3 2 1
Then 10 on the right and going left, 11-18... It would just be an aisle separating you.

Adding to Malcon10ts information, there is a rail in front of you and a post right at the edge of seat #5s view. 5-9 are the seats We always request when there are 5 of us in our group. I totally agree with Malcon10t's advice, put 5 of them in that row and take seats 3/4 close but a bit of breathing room, unless you want to be able to lean over and talk to someone during the show.

No, somewhere around 64 seats. I also like seats in the other section (like seats 28-32.) I really do choose my seats by which server is in that section.

Is there 3 separate sections and the one you mapped the right one? I haven't taken the time to notice how they do this passing by and there's no diagram anywhere that I could find.

I've just been there too many times..... There are about 35 seats in the section by Tower A (closest to HM) and 27 by Tower B. By Tower A are 2 sets of 10 seats (2 rows of 5), then 1 set of 15 (3 rows of 5.)

You all are the best. Thank you so much for the "inside" information Malcon10t and MamaSilva, much appreciated. I think I'll try to do what you advised with seats 5-9 and 3-4. That's IF iI get there to check in early enough!
So these seats are in the area closest to NOS versus HM? I heard the closer you are to POTC, the more centered view you get. ??
