When To Go in November
I'm planning to go to Disneyland next November (2010) either the Sunday thru Wednesday before Thanksgiving or the Tuesday thru Friday the week before Thanksgiving.
I'd like to know what the crowds are like this year on those days, so if anyone is going to Disneyland this month between Nov 17th thru Nov 20th, or Nov 22nd thru 25th please give me a report about how crowded it is.

Disney has extended hours for the entire Thanksgiving week, so that means BUSY, but also more entertainment offerings.
If you are focused on attractions, I would pick the 17th through the 20th. One good thing, Fireworks are nightly (weather and wind permitting) for the entire Christmas season.

I'd opt for the 17th thru 20th too. You might beat some of the "relatives coming to town" traffic. Plus, I don't think most of the schools will be out that early.

That is exactly when we will be there this year, the full week before Thanksgiving. I will report back on crowds....
Please remember I am a guy. If you found anything in the above post offensive, I cannot help it. For more info, see Brad Paisley's "I'm just a guy."

If you don't mind, I will report on the week after Thanksgiving
In 2007, we went the week after and the park was really light. Longest wait was Nemo at 20 min (the year it opened). Doing it a bit different this year. We usually go Sun-Thursday. Trying Sat-Wed this year figuring that the Sunday will not be too bad due to people traveling back home.

In the past, we have gone the full week before Thanksgiving, and enjoyed the small crowds.

No problem, but due to my work schedule it's hard for me to take vacation the first week of any month so the week after Thanksgiving is probably not an option for me. But feel free to report.

OK, anyone who was at Disneyland this past Tuesday thru Friday (Nov 17-Nov 20), can you give me a trip report regarding the crowds.

Well, no. But Saturday was great! (A blackout day for everyone but Premium AP holders.)
So I'm reading my bean feed...

Actually, Saturday was open to Deluxe also. We were there also and it was pretty nice. (Mom has a deluxe.)

Tuesday was great!! We didn't hit a ton of rides, but the lines were short (walked onto Buzz in the middle of the day). No major crowds for the fireworks.

Actually, a lot of our local schools, and schools across the country, have started taking the whole week of Thanksgiving off. They lose too much money on students who are going to go out of town that week anyways so it makes sense for them to just close.

Um, yeah, blocked out to Southern California passes is what I meant to say. My husband also has a deluxe.
What time were you in the park? Did you stop for any "events." We saw a service dog, but definitely not one of yours.
(I can't believe we didn't see you at some point, considering how not crowded it was.)

We were there last Monday and Tuesday (16th and 17th). The longest we ever waited on anything was 20 minutes. I thought Monday was a bit more crowded than Tuesday... lots of rides were 5-10 minute waits. We also walked on Buzz and Splash Mtn on Tuesday morning, but by lunch time the wait for Alice was 20 min. We thought it was a great time to go!

Every Day Is Disneyland Day!
We went yesterday from around 3-9 (the Monday of Thanksgiving week) and it was a MADHOUSE. 30-40 minutes for Small World and HM, 20-30 for Pirates, and the rest of the lines were obscene. Forget seeing the parade or anything else, Main Street was worse than an LA freeway at rush hour! I must have lost my mind trying to go yesterday. There was even a line for the baby care center! YIKES
Saw a LOT of BYU and Utah t-shirts and the AP processing line was nearly an hour long. Not sure which was making the parks worse, locals or non-locals, but regardless, it was packed

We were there from 9am (had breakfast at Carnation with da pretty puppy! She got spoiled by our server) til about 1pm, then headed out to do some shopping at the Company store. We came back in the park (dogless) about 5pm and left about 9pm. We were in NOS most of that time (had dinner at Cafe Orleans at 7pm.) We shopped and didn't do any rides in the evening. But I got some really cool stuff! (They have ears again in C33!)

We were there 11/13 - 11/17 and loved it... The crowds were fairly low, never waited longer than 15 minutes for major rides and DCA most rides were walk on, even Soarin, Toy Story was 20 minutes... and we loved all the Christmas decorations.
